Chapter 22: Haunted Memories

Liza Split was seen heading to king pewds. She had a perfect approach to take on team digimax. "Your highness, I may have an idea" she said. King pewds looked at her confused. "Fine let's hear it" he said. "Well, our one prisoner Joey was here long enough that we did get a sample of his persona's powers, he has the ability to bring a person's worst fears to life". "I am not looking to target all of them since it hasn't been tested, I'm looking to target only one, the leader Nikita" added Liza split. King pewds was thinking it over.

"A quick question is why do you think targeting only this Nikita is a good approach?" Asked king pewds. "She doesn't want to admit it but she holds bad memories that have caused people's deaths, two of the fallen are alive though". "So it would focus on the other fallen two" explained Liza split. King pewds was stunned to hear that. "Shake the leader, the rest will follow, I like it, she's your guniea pig now" added king pewds giving her permission to use it. Liza Split nodded and left to get ready. "Dr V I'll need you " she said. Dr v prepped a sample of the powers and followed.

"It's cause I'm the scientist isn't it" he said. "You're the only one with the experience, so yes" added Liza split. The assigned minions that summon the duo into battle were with them. "Let's lure the team out" added Dr V. He showed Liza someone that he brought with them which was a brainwashed version of Jason from Mat and Stephanie's team. "He's not connected to Nikita, but I see you want to mess up Matpatman" added Liza split. Dr V nodded a bit saying, "He's one of the strongest on the team so we'll shake him up too". Liza split liked the idea and was set.

Meanwhile team digimax had gotten the notification and looked. "Something tells me Liza split and Dr. V may be the only two in the end" added Joey. "Whatever it is I'm going with" added Nikita. Everyone took off and went to face them. On arrival Mat gasped a bit and stopped. "I figured you would falter the moment you saw him" added Dr. V smirking. "Jason if this is payback for all the times we made you the butt of the jokes then you're literally taking it the wrong way" added Mat. "At least you realize that" added Jason who didn't sound like himself.

"Mat stay focused, let's go" added Manny. Mat nodded and was ready to go. The group summoned all of their partner personas into battle and they started fighting back. Liza split took the open chance and put the sample on Nikita. The leader gasped suddenly seeing horrible nightmarish forms of Roi and Colleen. She froze and held her head. "No...no" she said. She dropped to her knees.

"Nikita what's wrong?" Asked safiya. Raef recognized the situation. "You have a sample of my powers!" Added Raef angry. "Ha, indeed we did and now we know it works" added Dr. V. "í'ӀӀ հҽӀԹ հҽɾ, վօմ ցմվՏ ժօ ահɑԵ վօմ ϲɑղ" added natemare. He and Preston ran over and assisted Nikita. The rest of the group fought the duo and mat rescued Jason. They fought back and the group was taken down.

"Enjoy the loss" added Dr. V. The duo ran off while Matt had woken up Jason. Nikita was crying and curled up on the ground. Natemare focused and exhaled before starting to sing "Nightmare" helping Nikita relax. "Let's just get out of here" added Anika. The group escaped and got back to the base. Liza split and Dr. V grinned joining king pewds. "A perfect success" added Dr. V.

"Then you two have a job to do" added king pewds. The duo nodded and left the room. King pewds smirked a bit. "Thanks for the sample Joey graceffa" he said grinning. Joey was in the digimax base hugging himself. "Why me?" He murmured. Ilene comforted him. Nikita was crying a bit.
