I hurried over to the record shop on Penny Lane and saw Paul dressed in a black suit with a crisp, white dress shirt underneath. His hair was neatly combed and, in his hand, he held a beautiful red rose. I felt the excitement building up inside as I crossed the street and met him.

"Hey, Paul!" I greeted.

"Hi, Mary! Wow!" he said as he caught a glance at me. "You're absolutely beautiful!"

"Aww, thanks! You don't look too bad yourself," I blushed.

"Well, I try," he smirked.

"Cheeky, cheeky. You know what, I think I take it back," I laughed.

He laughed too before holding out the gorgeous rose.

"Here you are, my lady. A beautiful rose for a beautiful girl," he said as he kneeled slightly.

"Oh, Paul, it's so beautiful! Thank you!" I said as I took the rose and began to inhale its sweet fragrance.

"It's my pleasure. Now, how about we go grab a cuppa tea? Does that sound alright?"

"That sounds wonderful!"

"Great!" he exclaimed as he held his hand out for me to take. I took it and we began to walk down the lively street.

After passing the many shops and restaurants, we arrived once again at the cafe. We walked in and ordered two Earl Greys just like our first meeting. I must say that reliving this moment was so magical and I suspected that Paul was feeling the same way. As we sat down, I watched as he grinned uncontrollably while his face flushed with excitement.

"Paul, why do you look so happy?" I inquired after we had sat down.

"Well, it's just that I love you and going to the places where we first met brings back a lot of memories. That's all," he responded, seeming a bit embarrassed.

"I feel the same way," I smiled as I held his hand.

Just then, the waiter brought us our tea. We thanked him before we began to drink the warm, steamy drink.

"Is the tea good?" Paul asked.

"Oh, yes. Thank you," I replied.

"You're welcome. So, after this, I was wondering if you'd like to go to the park again. What do you think?" he asked a bit nervously, seeming quite tense.

"I think that sounds fine...as long as you don't catch a cold again!" I giggled, which caused him to loosen up a little.

"Good," he said as he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Why do you want to go to the park so badly?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Oh, well, I just thought that last time was romantic. Wasn't it?" he replied hastily.

"Yes, it was, indeed! I was just curious, that's all."

"You're fine! I guess I was acting a little tense. Sorry if I was," he frowned.

"Paul, don't worry about it. I think it's sweet that you care," I said as I patted his arm.

"Thanks. Well, I suppose we should finish our tea," he said before taking a sip.

"I agree."

And with that, we drank our tea while simply enjoying each other's company, like we had been together forever. Honestly, it felt like we had been. He was so perfect for me, and I was pretty sure he felt the same way about me.

After taking the last sip, we decided to get going. It was just starting to get dark which meant that the streetlights had already turned on causing the street to glimmer and shine.
