𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 ; 𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐮𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐮

𝐒𝐞𝐢𝐬; 𝐃𝐨-𝐑𝐞-𝐌𝐢

Jaliyah decided to walk home today, instead of taking the bus. She packed all her things and speed-walked out the classroom. She knew Veronicas ways and she really wanted no trouble with her. It ain't her fucking fault that Veronica likes him. Noises of lockers being slammed traveled in one ear and out the other, she breathed fresh air when she walked outside and she felt relaxed.

"Hmm, where you going?"
She stopped and turned on her heels. "Nowhere really. Home. Why, Mr. Fancy?"
Brandon slightly scowled at her harsh remark. "You're walking? that's new. How about I come with you?"
She blank-faced him and shook her head. "If your bratty girlfriend catches us that's more shit and rumors I have to worry about. Plus.."

He waited for an answer. "Zi's coming with me." In reality, he wasn't but he was walking this way so she needed an excuse. "I am?!"
She nodded. "Let's go. See you at the ice cream parlor brandon." Jaliyah walked off leaving Brandon pouting and A tall, surprised Zion behind her. "I don't think I agreed to this, J. This is illegal my mans." They both laughed. "Yeah well I don't want to have to deal with rumors of me liking brandon again or him cheating. Too much." She kicked a rock. "What's up with you and Veronica?"
He looked at the ground below him, thinking hard. "I don't like her. Never have, never will."

Jaliyah cringed. Not good for her. She laughed in her head. She walked up her porch and waved at Zion. "This is see you late-" She was cut off by him walking in without a word and running towards the kitchen. "Damn.. big bitch." "I HEARD THAT"

Jaliyah sat and watched as Zion was being.. Zion. Mans was shirtless. Smacking a goldfish bag. "I'm ashamed to be your best friend sometimes, boy. Know that?" He giggled. "Same for you." She smiled, she knew she could never really be ashamed of him.
Knock. Knock.
"I got it." Zion got up and opened the door.
"Hi Jali-" Brandon froze and Maggie looked shock. "Um-" She pointed at his loss of a shirt. "Did you guys-" Zion shook his head. "No, you guys jump to conclusions fast. What y'all here for?" Maggie and Brandon pushed beside Zion and walked into the living room. "Jaliyah, it's time for the ice cream date." Maggie sounded puretea disgusted having to talk to her. "Alright." Jaliyah nodded and smiled at Maggie, but not a nice one. It was a "Try me today" type of smile. Maggie took that surprisingly by having a shocked expression. Meanwhile Brandon and Zion had a stare-off. "Lets go." Brandon smiled and grabbed jaliyah's arm softly pulling her up and dragging her. "Hey man don't just drag her. She has feelings." Brandon scowled. Jaliyah walked ahead of the two boys, and Maggie. She hopped in the backseat of the car and patted the seat next to her. "Zi!" Zion slid in the seat next to her, And Maggie sat beside brandon in the passenger seat. Phases played and Zion jammed out with Jaliyah. "Period bestfriend! You can rap so well." Zion smiled, making his dimples show. Brandon looked furious.

"Liyah!" Austin and Edwin ran over to the girl and bearhugged, nearly knocking her down. "Hi you guys!" Jaliyah smiled and sat down. "Jaliyah let's share an ice cream?" Brandon chimed in. Jaliyah looked confused. Her eyebrows scrunched as she stared up at Brandon. His earring dangled, and his nose piercing made him look gentle. "No. What about Maggie? She might let you." His smile dropped. "She's sharing with Zion. That's why I asked you." He sat down next to me, obviously not wanting to talk about it anymore. I put my hand on his shoulder and looked over.

"You know that test we have in chemistry? Can you come over and help me with it?" Maggie leaned on Zions arm. "Pleasee?"
Zion looked a bit uncomfortable. "Aight back
up. Firstly I already told J i'd help her but you can go over her house." Maggie nodded but she was looking unpleasant. "Deal."

Jaliyah gripped Brandons shoulder tight. That bloody bastard bitch.. Not only was she flirting with Zion, but it was right in front of Brandon. 'I'll shoot the fuck out her.' She looked back at Brandon. "Come over my house this afternoon, and study with all three of us for the test okay?"
Brandon was staring at Maggie's flirting attempts. "Yeah.." Zion finally had it and pushed Maggie backwards, not hard enough so she'd fall though. "Yo move the fuck away from me! Brandon come get this wolf before I throw this bitch." Zion got up and walked out the ice cream place, not even saying where he was going. "Shit! Look what the fuck you did you dumbass vampire ass bitch. Brandon control yo bat man." Jaliyah shouted and Brandon and Maggie.
If i could go back to the day we met.

Bitch fuck you! You did that to him not me." Maggie screeched back. Jaliyah bopped her in the back of her head. "You wanna go bird bitch? Lets go then!" Maggie got up and started throwing fairly strong punches.

"FIIIGHTTTTT!"
Everyone in the ice cream parlor cheered. Edwin and Austin looked nervous, Brandon was excited though. "Let's go bitch!" Jaliyah dodged and weave and clocked maggie in her eye. Maggie Start kicking jaliyah's knee caps so she'd lose balance. Jaliyah started punching maggies gut. Each punch another word came out. "AND. WHAT. YOU. BITCH." Maggie kneed Jaliyah in her face and started bobbing her head in, pulling her hair. "MHMMM" That's when Jaliyah threw A random hit. A loud sound echoed and her hair was let go, and no more blows hit her head. She looked up and realized she knocked Maggith out with a bloody nose. "Ooh shit!" She got up and danced around. "MAGGIE!" Brandon rushed to maggie's side and held her body to him. "Jaliyah the fuck did you do!"
"She'll be alright. She only got knocked out." Edwin came to Jaliyah's rescue. "Liyah?" Austin whispered in her ear. "We'll stall for you, go get your man." Jaliyah blushed, nodded and ran out the door. She ran as fast as her legs would take her. Her lungs screamed and burned for more air. She wouldn't stop though, until she reached the park. Children's laughter filled the air just now, and she knew she was here. She rested against the tree for a bit.

"I see. That would make one uncomfortable. I don't do I? hehe." Rang out. An annoying voice only known from Veronica Higgins. Jaliyah walked down the hill towards the benches, eyes locked on Zion and Verionica. He was smiling at her and vice versa. Jaliyah started to tremble. It was then she realized she liked Zion.

He protected her all throughout her life.
He fought for her and injured himself, for her.
He took care of her when she couldn't herself.
He was there for everything, every battle. Every laugh.

He was the one for her, and she didn't notice that. Until the day came that she was jealous of a mean girl.
I probably would've stayed in bed.
"You know, Zion. I like you alot." Veronica's arms slither around Zions neck and he looked at her like she was crazy. "Um." She leaned in for a kiss. He pushed her face away. "Woah, too soon. Um i'll see you later." He proceeded to get up until she yelled. "WHY DONT YOU LOVE ME BACK? is it jaliyah?! What does she have that I don't?!! She's ruined my life because I like you and she does too!"
Zion looked taken back from the information. I trembled. She had told him when I wasn't ready.
She spotted Jaliyah and grinned. "Well she doesn't anymore." She was staring deep in Jaliyah's eyes. "She says she hates you, and wants nothing to do with you. So choose me."

You run your mouth all over town.

He looked hurt. "No, but thank you for the information. I'm going to go talk to her." He turned and walked away. Jaliyah stormed off towards her house, when she reached them she ran in, not thinking to lock her door. She scurried up the steps and threw herself on the floor. "He believed her.." She wanted to cry, but instead she called Amelia.

"Hi?" Amelias sweet voice rang through the phone. "Amelia, please. We need to talk." Jaliyah held her tears back, her vision became blurry and she kept sniffling. "Veronica told Zion that I liked him and then that I hated him. Only one is true what do I do? He believed her."

Silence. All Jaliyah heard was static. Then she heard the noises of hanging up and paused in confusion. "Am- this girl.." She got up to wash her face and change into a t-shirt and shorts. "I'm a bad bitch." She walked downstairs and got snacks ready. Amelia burst through the door and tackled Jaliyah. "Excuse me what is this?!" Amelia looked at her. "Did you beat that bitch ass?!" Jaliyah shook her head. "Tomorrow, you will. Or I will. preparing for studying?" They both got up and dusted off. "Yessirrrr Brandon, maggie and Zi..on are coming." Jaliyah started washing her hands and looking for pencils. "Oh. Tough luck to ya. Youre gonna be fi-" Amelia paused and looked at the figure hanging in the door. Dreads. It was Zion. "Excuse me but i'm fucking out of hear right now. BYEE" Amelia ran out the back door. Jaliyah was confused and turned around. "Oh, Zi!" She awkwardly waved at him. "You're earl-"

"We need to talk."
"I'm afraid not, all four of us need to study first." Brandon chimed in, and Maggie crossed her arms. "Agreed."

Sorry my ass disappeared so long, i'm battling with self-problems. but I made this chapter especially long because I've been gone so long. I missed this book but i'm back now (:
