Chris's POV

I managed to roll off of the couch and make my way upstairs. I started the shower and quickly cleaned myself up.

Of course Ricky and Michael had to get themselves into trouble. I don't know if I can even help them. I may have a lot of pull with the police, but I don't think I can even fix this.

It was on the news. "High Speed Police Chase Ends in Near Fatal Accident. Both of the people in the car are in critical but stable condition."

I'll have to see what I can do. Fucking idiots. I'm busy and they have to get themselves on the fucking news.

Ricky's POV

There was this incessant beeping noise around me. I just wished it would fucking stop. I didn't even wanna open my eyes. My head was pounding and everything kinda just felt heavy.

I tried to lift my hand to rub my eyes, but it wouldn't move.

I forced my eyes open and looked around me.

I was in a hospital room. Ugh it's so bright in here. And my hand was cuffed to the bed?

I tugged on the cuff, but nothing happened. It didn't come loose.

I looked at my other arm. There was a different cast on it now. It was in a regular white plaster cast before, but now its in a blue one with like, metal pins sticking out of the top. I also couldn't feel it. It was numb, which was odd.

Where's Kuza? He was in the car with me. We crashed. What happened afterwards? Is Kuza even here?

I found the button that would call the nurse to the room and I pressed it over and over and over again until someone entered the room.

"Oh, you're finally awake, sir." She spoke.

She came over to me.

"Finally? How long was I...?"

"About a day and a half." She explained. "You sustained some pretty bad injuries when your car flipped."

"Th-the other man who was with me, where is he?"

"I believe he's in the ICU."

"Why am I handcuffed?"

"I'm not sure really, but the police said you might be dangerous, and will be taken into police custody once you're healthy enough to leave here." She said. "Same with your friend."

I nodded.

"I'm just going to check your vitals and then some officers are going to come in to speak to you."

"What happened to my arm?"

"The cast that was on your hand shattered in the accident. When it shattered, the cast itself cut you. The windows shattered in the car and a large piece of glass imbeded inself in your arm, and another in your hand. It left a deep laceration that ended up tearing muscle, destroying nerves, and breaking the bone in multiple spots. We had to put screws in the bone to fix it. There's a pretty fair chance that you will never regain full movement of your hand and forearm due to the nerve damage though."

"Oh..."

She checked the IV that was in my arm.

"W-what else?"

"I don't know the full extent of your injuries. I don't want to tell you something wrong. I'm just a nurse, but I'll have the doctor come in before the police."

I nodded.

She checked my pulse and told me that the doctor would be here in a few minutes.

I'll most likely never be able to use my arm again. I don't really know how to process that information.
