Sitting in the Shade

Chapter 1: Shade

        Hello anyone who reads this. My name is Shade. I am a half human half monster kind of being. Lets just say that's my most interesting feature. I have wings that when not out look like a tattoo. I also have talons when my wings are out. Claws form around the same time as well. It doesn't hurt to transform, its just a little weird feeling. It feels like I'm turning into a blob then back. Anyways my mom thought I should start a journal, you know since it helps clear the mind. She said since I seemed depressed (which I am) that I should write my feelings in a journal, which actually works.

        My mother, Angelica, is an angel like being (which is where I get my wings) is constantly looking over me, but hey what are moms for? She has been there since father left. My father, Damon, was a demon who "fell in love" for about 2 years then left after I was born. I get my power of teleportation from him. 

        Oh right! I might want to explain my powers. Okay so I've already covered transformation, and teleportation but I haven't covered my telepathic, and telekinetic abilities. I control things, and can read peoples minds. It's a blessing and a curse because some people are just capital N A S T Y! But anyways now you know a little about me. Oh ya and I murder people to keep my powers.

        I guess you could say I'm a vampire but I'm not. That's the thing about being part demon, you have to kill to keep your powers. Its a weird process but when I don't need to kill much I just kill birds. I usually help hunters with their hunting. But the thing is here soon i'll need to kill a human because I need a lot of energy. The only hard part about it is hiding the body but I normally just bury them deep in the woods. They wonder where people went to but I say they just moved. 

        I wish I was a normal kid sometimes, but having these powers is kind of an advantage. I love having the upper hand in games but I normally don't play games. You see I'm not the friend making type. I mean I have like two good friends and that's it. They are Frankie, and Marsha. Frankie is a science genius, and Marsha is like the band geek. I don't know how we met but we did. Its amazing having good friends but I don't well like people. Anyways i'll tell you guys next time about my life.
