*next day*

I wake up and immediately rub my eyes. I check the time and see that it's twelve o'clock. Damn, I slept in late. I hop out of bed and remove my make up from last night, taking a shower after. Since today was a Saturday, I decided to get some homework done and study a bit for my upcoming math test. I wonder how Brian's doing in math. Did the tutoring help him or not?  I check my phone after doing my school work and see an iMessage notification. I open it to see a text from Brian. 

Brian: good morning yvi. first off, I want to tell you how sorry i am for what happened yesterday. you were never second best and i didn't use you to realize my love for audrey. i just broke things off with her. everything i said was just nonsense i was forced to say. i have very strong feelings for you and want to continue our relationship. if you're not busy, please meet me at the grove where the water fountain is in an hour. it's very important. 

My mouth begins to form a smile as I read his text. 

Me: sure, see you there.

I race to the bathroom to brush my teeth and redo my makeup, brushing my straightened hair from last night and putting it into a high ponytail. put on my outfit for the day, and head right to the elevator, grabbing my small white purse on the way. 

"Hey! Where are you going." Lucifer questions, stepping out of his bedroom. 

"I'm going to meet someone, it's an emergency," I rushingly shout. "I'll be at the station at one-thirty!" 

Before I'm able to hear my father's response, the elevator door closes. I walk to the garage, getting onto my white scooter and drive off.

After arriving, I park my vehicle and walk out of the lobby to the water fountain. I'm a bit early so I don't see him yet. I sit on the stone seat/railing, crossing my legs and wait patiently. About a minute later, I look up to see Brian running towards me in his work uniform. 

"Yvi!" He shouts while running. 

I wave at him as he pants in exhaustion. 

"Hey, what was so important that you needed to talk about?" 

Brian takes a seat next to me. 

"Um, I wanted to say, I'm sorry. I already texted you that, but I feel like I'd sound more genuine if I told you in person. You are one of the best things that have ever happened to me. You're kind, smart, funny, and innocent, in the best way possible. I just adore you so much and to think that I hurt you so badly makes me-" He interrupts himself, not knowing what to say next. "I don't know, I just can't stand the thought of you hating me, and not being there by my side." 

I continue to listen to his apology and explanation. He seems very serious and that's good. I don't have time to be played with. Life on Earth is short and I want to live it with no regrets.

"So, what I basically want to ask you is if we can make it official." He states. "Will you be my girlfriend?" 

My eyes light up and I smile widely. 

"Of course!" I exclaim hugging him. "Just tell me when my father threatens you again." 

"How did you-" 

"He told me," I confess.

Brian nods, grinning at me. He pulls me in and gives me a peck on the lips. I smile, hiding my face in embarrassment in his neck. 

"C'mon, don't act like we haven't done this before." He chuckles. "You weren't so shy when we made out in your living room." 

My face turns red. 

"You were drunk." 

"But you weren't." 

I laugh out of embarrassment, playfully punching Brian's shoulder. He continues to laugh while I just shake my head in, playful, disappointment. I take a look at my phone, checking the time. I frown a bit realizing that I had to go. 

"I'm so sorry, but I have to go." I sigh. 

"It's no problem. I should probably head back to work before my boss yells at me." 

I giggle before hugging Brian goodbye. Before I'm able to leave, he pulls me into another kiss. I say a final goodbye before running to the parking lot. I start my scooter and pull out of the mall, making my way to the station.

Sorry for the short chapter! I just wanted it to focus on Brian asking out Yvi. Also, I'm thinking about doing a Q&A chapter where I answer y'alls questions, so comment any questions you have on this chapter.
