*Niall's P.O.V*
I've decided that we all expect too much. Everyday we wake up like its not big deal because life is expected. We expect that we will wake up every morning until we are in our 80's or older so when shit like this happens it hurts even more. See everyday is meant to be a virtue and we are lucky to wake up each day but we come from a society where it is expected and sometimes our expectations aren't fulfilled so we break. I complain about this but I am one of these people. We all are. So all I want right now is for my friends to wake up and be with us like it normally is.
"Harry's coming." Michael says in a monotone. His voice lacks enthusiasm completely as he's so drained from the events. Harry has been in the toilet since the nurse told us about Ella. When Calum went to check on him apparently he was just dry heaving over the sink and had sick all down his top. He reacted worse than any one would expect. It shows how much he loves her but to be fair when I found out I thought I was going to throw up too. Although I don't love her in that way, I care for and love Ella with all my heart. She's so full of love to give it's amazing - people like that are hard to find.

I walk over to Lola and take her icy hands into mine as I kneel down beside her. Her delicate fingers fit mine as if we were moulded for each other. My eyes remain glued onto her intricate fingers as my mind takes me back to the night I fucked everything up. I can't take the guilt anymore. It's building up and I can't escape it. If I lose her then she will never know how sorry I am. Her last moments will be full of pain caused by me and me alone.

"I love you so, so much." I choke as tears stream down my cheeks. Nobody in the room is paying full attention to me anyway so I know I can say what I want. She's my everything.

"I love you too." I hear a voice whisper. I look up to her and my heart starts to race but her eyes are still closed and her body still remains lifeless. It must just be my imagination. I've never been so excited to think I've heard her voice before.

"Lo!" Calum shouts as a huge smile of relief covers his face. I look back at Lola and her eyes slowly open. You can tell that she's struggling to hold her eye lids up but at least she's awake. My heart begins to pound against my chest as I wipe away the tears that had escaped my eyes. As Mae runs over she begins to cry hysterically as she gently hugs Lola. It's the first time I've seen Mae cry but it's amazing how much simply waking up can bring so much joy to someone. I repetitively kiss her icy fingers as I thank God under my breath that I have my princess back. Lola manages to crack a smile as everyone crouds around her and tells her how much she scared them and how much they love her. She smiles at everyone as brightly as she can but you can see beneath her eyes she's in a lot of pain.

"Where's Ella?" She rasps after her eyes had scanned everyone who had surrounded her. "And Lou." She adds as the room goes silent. Lola moves her head so she's facing me again but I know she's trying to see behind me. As soon as her eyes meet the bed next to her, her eyes fill with tears. She begins to panic and sob at the same time and as her hand tries to cover up her face one of the wires are ripped out from her arm. Automatically a nurse runs in and tells us all to leave.

I watch through the cracks of the blinds as the Lola continues to struggle and not let the nurse put the wire back into her arm. The nurse injects a fluid into her bloodstream and it doesn't take Lola long to stop resisting. The wire becomes reattached to her arm and the nurse leaves, telling us we can go back in. When we do Lola is looking at her hands as if she's never seen them before and giggling to herself.

"My hands feel funny." She giggles, making me smile. I sit at the edge of her bed and kiss the top of her head delicately.

"Your face is pretty." She slurs as she strokes my face lightly. We all laugh softly at her before returning back to where we were scattered across the room. Calum's eyes are glued to Louis' bed and Harry's to Ella's. Although, everyone was thrilled to see Lola wake up they're still terrified to find out what's going to happen to Ella and Lou.

"Cuddle?" Lola asks as she holds her arms out. I pull my shoes off and lose myself underneath the blanket with Lo. I slide my arm underneath her body and allow her to burry her head within my chest.

It takes about an hour for her breathing to slow and her eyes to shut. The medication must have made her really drowsy but as long as I'm near her and I know that she isn't in danger anymore I can begin to calm down.

The nurse enters the room and walks over to Louis' bed. She checks the monitors and writes and bunch of stuff on her clip board.

"Mr Tomlinson will awaken shortly. He is being winded off of the sleeping medication but there is a risk off him being in pain. As he obviously has not woken yet we won't know of any additional injury she might have. If he does wake up and is in any sort of pain please let us know as soon as you can." She tells us. As soon she even mentioned Louis waking up mine and Harry's eyes connected. That's means he's okay. That means that our best friend is safe. If he's in pain and awake at least he can tell us so he has a strong chance that he will be fine.

"What about Ella?" Harry croaks.

"She is stable but, unfortunately, she shows no sign of consciousness. We just don't know right now." She tells us. Harry closes his eyes for a few seconds before nodding. I know it wasn't the response he wanted but he needs to be happy that Lou is waking up. We all desperately want Ella to awaken and for us to be able to go home and carry on with life but, for now, that's not an option. We just need to take each day as it comes. I desperately need to pee but i don't want Lola to wake up while I'm gone. I don't want her to have to wake up alone and with out me so for now I have to stay here. She begins to stir so I pull her body closer to mine to wrap her within my body heat. I'm so in love with her that it's physically hurting my heart having to see her in this hospital bed.

"Lou!" Zayn practically shouts as he runs over to Louis' bed.

"Lou, Lou are you feeling okay?" Mia asks as she walks over too.

"Yeah, why? Are you because you feel the need to shout after I've just woken up?" Louis croaks making me laugh. He's definitely okay. I'm not going to deny the fact that I'm slightly pissed off with Mia for not being here when we needed her. I know people tackle pain differently but we all needed her, especially Lola.

"Lou, you can't just ask why, you were in a car crash." Liam laughs.

"Mate I'm well strong, of course I'm fine." His voice scratches. I want to believe him but I'm scared he's only saying this because he's so used to being 'the rock' and 'the funny one' so he can't think he can show his pain. We all laugh at him anyway even though i can tell the same thought is going through everyone's mind.

After about an hour of Louis being awake I feel Lola's eyelashes batter against my chest. I kiss the top of her head delicately before I roll out of the bed.

"Nooo, I was comfortable." She moans as she stretches her body out. The stitches on her collar bones look really sore and the skin around it looks all pink and tight. Her whole body looks sore but it doesn't seem to change her personality which, for some reason, makes me want to kiss her even more.

"Just kiss her already!" Louis shouts making my cheeks go pink. As soon as Lola hears Louis' voice her eyes become brighter as she snaps her head around to look at him.

"LOUUUU!" She squeals as the biggest smile spreads across her face. Louis' face glows with joy as soon as he sees how happy Lola is to see him awake. Suddenly, the whole room is filled with smiles as everyone watches the joy radiate off of Lola and Louis. I'm glad we finally have some good news to give to Lola after she found out about Ella. At least now she has some positivity.

"You dicks! Why didn't you wake me up when Louis woke up?!" She shouts making us lightly laugh at her. She's so clearly drugged up right now but I'm not complaining because she's happy. I walk over to her bed and kiss her before slowly helping her sit up. She winces in pain a lot but it doesn't stop her from trying. Her right hand is all bandaged up and until now I didn't even notice because I've only really been sitting on the left side. She also has patches of material tapped on to bigger cuts all over her body.

"Your hands are so cold." I say as I try to help her carefully stand up with out putting too much weight on to the cast on her leg. She doesn't say anything but bites her lip as she concentrates on trying to get up to go over to Lou. I never noticed how blue her lips were until now and how ill she really looks. Her eyes suddenly roll back and then slam shut as she falls backwards but I catch her before her limp body hits the tiles.
