(Joey's POV)
Jesse has gone quiet... I wish I could see inside his mind right now...
"Jess, are you okay?" I ask, concerned.
"H-huh? What are you talking about?" He looks at me, it seems I startled him.
"You went quiet... what were you thinking about?" I ask him.
He looks back down at his arm, beginning to scratch at a scar with his fingernails.
"I keep having these thoughts... I want to hurt myself again Joey... I should have been in that coffin, not Pam. I should be six feet underground right now, not her" He sobs.
I gently place my hand on his arm to stop him from scratching.
"Jess, it's not your fault... there was no way you could have known it was going to happen" I pull him closer to me, letting him sob into my shoulder.
Jesse pulls away, wiping his face on his hand, "I know... it's so hard though..."
I gently squeeze his hand.
"I'm sorry Joey..." he says to me.
"For what?" I ask him.
He sniffles, "for crying like a baby... you must think I'm pathetic", he looks away.
"Not at all" I cup his chin in my hands and look him in the eyes.
Suddenly, I can't control myself, everything is happening so fast, I can feel my lips on his, but he isn't pulling away... he... he's kissing me back...
