Donut's POV.-
I look around as I sit with Caboose on the swing chair on the porch. I sigh happily and lay my head on his shoulder, snuggling close to him. He puts his arm around me, making me smile. "Hey Donut?" I look up at him. "Hm?" "Wake up." I look at him confused. "Wake up." Caboose repeats. My eyes widen as he fades away, along with my surroundings. "Caboose?!" I frantically look around at the black surrounding me, looking for Caboose and everything else. Then suddenly, my vision goes dark.
I open my eyes slightly, hearing the faint sound of yelling. It kind of sounded like Church and Tucker. I heard Caboose's name in their conversation. I open my eyes more and look around at my surroundings. I think I'm at Blue base. I sit up slightly but immediately feel a rush of pain all around my chest. Church and Tucker must have noticed because they came running over to me . "Donut! Your awake!" "Thank god you are. We were getting really worried. About you and Caboose." My eyes widened slightly at hearing his name. "Caboose? What's wrong with him?" I look at them. "He thought you we never gonna wake up." Tucker started. "He's like super depressed, which is kinda scary for him being Caboose and all, but anyway the other day he must have been more depressed than usual because he tried to kill himself." My eyes widened and I shot up, immediately regretting that from the pain. "He did what?! Where is he?!" "In his room. Doc is watching him." Church said and pointed toward Caboose's room. I quickly got up and ran toward his room. I run in and see Caboose asleep on his bed and Doc near by keeping an eye on him. Doc looked at me and smiled. "Donut! Your awake!" He half whispered, half yelled. I nod and and look at Caboose. He looked extremely pale and much thinner than the last time I saw him. The sight of him made me want to cry. "How long was I out?" I whispered to Doc. "About 3 months." My eyes widened even more. I walk over to Caboose and gently lay down next to him, wrapping my arms and legs around him. I felt tears brimming my eyes as I noticed I was able to feel his rib cage. I looked at his wrists and saw that they were wrapped in bandages that went up half way one his forearm. I buried my face into Caboose's chest and waited for him to wake up while trying not to cry.
Caboose's POV.-
As I start to wake up, I feel someone cuddling with me. I open my eyes slightly and looks over at my side. My eyes widen and I tear up as a see Donut cuddling close to me. He looks up at me and smiles. "Hey Caboose." I hug him and keep him close to me as I start sobbing. Donut hugs back and rubs my back while I continue to cry my eyes out. "I-I thought y-you w-weren't gonna wake u-up..." I cried into his shoulder. Donut kisses my cheek making me smile a little bit. I eventually calm down, thanks to Donut. I kiss Donut on the lips and look at him. "Can you make cookies?" He nods and walks to the kitchen with me following. I sit by the counter and watch as Donut makes my favorite chocolate chip cookies. The ones with the gooey chocolate chips. I watch as he put the cookies in the oven and walked over to me. I kiss his cheek and smile as he kisses mine back. "I love you." Donut says as I wrap my arms around him. "I love you too."
