"Nigga, if you don't put that damn phone down. I'm mad as hell that you even went through with that shit." My nigga Kareem said while I messaged back another one of the women I met on that dating site. I can't lie, the shit was addicting.

Right when I was finished signing up, I had like six matches, which was good when you were just getting started. Again, I wasn't on this website for love, I just wanted someone to talk to. I told all of them that, ended up losing four matches. But, gained so many more as the weeks passed.

Some in the same boat as me..single , some separated, one still in a damn marriage – left her ass alone – and some just plain desperate. What amused me was that eHarmony picked all of the prospects out for you. They literally matched you with a few people who you shared similarities with. I didn't necessarily like that since I couldn't just pull up on a woman that I found intriguing but, it was whatever.

"East, you know dating sites for lonely people, right? Uh, whatever happened to Naomi? The love of ya' hopeless-ass life? I know that you know she gon' go off when she find out. We also know that she gon' find out." he grumbled. Sighing aloud, I turned my head to see him grilling me already.

"Naomi and I are still on a break, bro. If that was intended to make me stop, you failed." I shrugged, glancing down. I missed Naomi, to be honest. Maybe this online shit was me tryin'a fill the void of not having her, I don't know. She was doing better off without me, according to her ghetto-ass sister, Pam. I hated her ass with a burning passion, but that was another story for another day.

"What do you even talk about with these girls, bro? Put the phone down for a sec and look up." he encouraged. Being harassed by Kareem all day long was not on the agenda, man. Glancing up from my seat at the sand bar, I saw women frolicking on the beach, flirting around. The usual scene at the Jersey Shore.

"Okay?" I said in a not caring tone since I was desensitized to the sight.

"Nigga, it's bitches galore today and you on eHarmony. I'm embarrassed." he whispered harshly. Shaking my head, one of the women that I subconsciously had my gaze on made her way over to where we sat. Just great.
