I remember division
I remember sexual predators
On our television
I remember a culture
That openly brought shame
I remember being told I couldn't sing
Because I had a boy's name
I remember bullying
being told to man up
I remember boys don't cry
Suck it up
I remember an illegal war
I remember terrorists
I remember famine
Remember seeing what hell life is
I remember poverty creeping in
I remember millions suffering
I remember the good times too
I remember days at the seaside or the zoo
I remember birthdays Christmas family dues
But still people ask why, puzzled
My generation often struggles
Yes we've had good lives
But one thing our generation realised
Is that because we're ok doesn't mean the world is
You hate us because we make that our buisness
