Introduction

Hello, my name is Rain Vaughns and I'm going to tell you a little bit about myself. I'm about 5'5, I'm absolutely in love with one direction- Louis my favorite, but don't tell anyone. I have brown hair and blue eyes kind of a weird combination but oh well, school isn't fun for me, but how is it for anyone? Oh yeah and I absolutely love skateboarding, it's my whole life.

I was getting ready for school when I heard my brother yell to me "Rain, hurry up we're going to be late!"

"Hush my child." I yell back down to him.

"I'm serious Rain this is getting ridiculous!"

"Okay fine here I am." I wore light pink skinny's, a white shirt that says keep calm and live while we're young, I was also wearing my pink osiris' and to top it all off I had my green skateboard. If you're wondering, yes, I have a pink skateboard but, my green one's way better.

"Okay, let's go!" He says grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the house. He's wearing a purple jacket that says 'Bieber fever' -yes he's a Belieber that's kind of why I love him, he was also wearing purple skinny jeans and gold osiris'. "So... mom and dad wanted me to tell you something." He said breaking the silence that was filling the car.

"What?" I croaked, worried about what I knew might come next.

"As you know, mom has cancer, and they really don't think she's going to be able to make it, she doesn't want you to be here for her death Rain." He stated solemnly.

"But that's my mom too! I have just as much right to be here as you do!" I yell at him.

"I know, I know. I tried to argue it, too but it was no use. Dad thinks he always knows what's best."

     "Okay, well where am I going then?" I say with tears filling my eyes.

"That's the best part, well I mean, I guess under these circumstances. Basically, you're just going to be stoked." I look at him very confused.

"So, you're probably way too young to remember but mom has family that lives in the UK-"

"Omg, am I really!" I screamed and he gave me the death glare.

"Mom has family in the UK, and she thinks it'd be best if you went out there for a while to live with our cousin."

"Do you remember our cousin?" I ask looking at him as we found a parking spot at the school.

"Not really but, from what I read about him, he sounds like a pretty cool dude."

"Read about h- what're you even talking about, Cloud? You're not making sense." I say.

"Oh, I left out the best part, well for you anyways," He says and I cock my head to the side.

"Our cousin, he's Liam Payne."

"Liam Payne? Cloud, this isn't funny! You literally just told me I have to leave because mom has cancer, and now you're telling jokes? Real funny."

"Rain, look on Liam's twitter page it's there, I'm being serious, I have no idea why mom and dad didn't tell you before, maybe they thought you knew but, it's all going to be okay." He says reassuring me and I take a deep breath in. I take my phone out and go to Liam's page.

"What? There's literally nothing here!" I say a confused.

"Look at his bio." He says smiling. The bio read: 'Omg, my cousins finally coming to see me, I'm so excited!'

"I hate when you're right." I say rolling my eyes, "well, lets go get this day started."

"Nia, good morning!" I say going to hug her, Nia has been my best friend for as long as I could remember.

"Hey Rain," She says giving me a hug.

"Hey baby," Cloud says and goes in for a kiss and I faked gagged.

"Don't worry Rain, you'll find someone someday!" Nia says very enthusiastically.

"I hope not too soon. I don't want to end up making people puke." I joked and I turn around to start walking and I run into Andrea, the most popular and meanest girl in school.

"Watch where you're going, bitch." She shoved me with her shoulder and her friends laughed.

"No, don't even you bumped into me. So, maybe next time you should watch yourself and maybe we wouldn't have this problem, now would we?" I shoved her back. "And if you run to 'principle daddy' try me, cause frankly I don't care anymore! You're done ruining my life, Andrea." I say and she takes a step back, looking shook, and runs away with little group of fakes chasing after her.

"What the hell was that?" Nia says looking at me with wide eyes.

"I have no idea; I was just in the moment and it came out," I huffed a little and flicked my hair out of my face. "Don't regret it though, I'm leaving, so it doesn't really matter anyway."

"Back up, where are you going?" Nia says with a concerned look on her face.

"England."

"Why are you going there, especially without me? We've been talking about going there together since seventh grade."

"It's not like it's my choice." I snap. "Sorry, Nia it's just with all this happening, mom having cancer I have to leave it's just getting me." I say with tears forming in my eyes.

"Wait, your mom has cancer?" She screams.

"My mom has cancer and she's making me go live with my cousin in England."

"What's your cousin's name?" she asks me.

"What?" I laugh nervously.

"What is their name? Is it one of the one direction boys, is that why you're not telling me?" She rolls her eyes laughing.

"His name is Liam." I sigh crossing my arms.

"Ha-ha very funny."

"Liam Payne." I say walking away.

"Wait, you're serious?" She runs after me.

"Clearly. I'm leaving right after school today; I'll finally get to meet Louis." I smirk.

"Tell Harry that I said 'hi'" She says winking at me.

"Calm down you have a boyfriend that may I remind you is my brother." I say sitting in my seat for first hour.

"I would never cheat on him." She sank into her chair

"I guess this is goodbye for a while, huh?" Nia says while walking to the car after school.

"Yeah I guess I mean you could always message me or facetime." I say laughing.

"That's never the same." she says joining me, "but again I wouldn't mind if you gave Harry my number just so I can have him as a friend." she says smiling.

"Only because I know he's your favorite." I say rolling my eyes.

"You're the best!" She says jumping up and down.

"I'm sorry guys but we have to go, we still have to go home and grab your stuff." Cloud says walking up and interrupting us.

"well I guess I'll talk to you later, love you guys!" she says and hugs us as we get in the car to leave.

"Let's go get your stuff." Then we drive out of the school parking lot.
