"Ralof! You damn traitor!" The Imperial soldier in front of me cried as the Stormcloak from the wagon darted in front of him. The two spoke briefly in aggravated tones and both ushered me to follow them. My head was spinning from the current events, but my conscience told me to follow the man in blue. I hurried after him, just making it into the inn before the dragon reappeared."A close one, huh?" Ralof asked as we turned to the room full of injured Stormcloaks. Ulfric stood among them, a soldier carefully cutting the bindings from his hands and mouth.
"I'd like similar treatment." I murmured. Ralof, being the only one that could hear me, took a dagger from his belt and cut the bindings from my hands.
"There, there lass." He said comically.
"Now what?" A woman said before tossing the burnt remains of a glove.
"We go home." Ulfric said simply.
"Yes my lord, but how. That thing will easily kill us if we step foot outside. And if he doesn't they will." She said referring to the Imperial soldiers. What was left of them at least.
"We split up. Travel underground as far as we can."
"And when the tunnels collapse and we can't get out, then what? We starve to death?" I asked. All eyes were directed to me now.
"And who is this? And why does she feel the need to argue my orders?" Ulfric stepper towards me, motioning Ralof to step back. He did as he was told and gave me a weary look.
"I don't think that dragon cares if you're High king or not. I wouldn't take orders from Talos himself right now if it meant me dying from his foolish decisions." I stood face to face to him now. Well, face to chest. I wasn't much for height. And had always been a fiery little ball of hate.
"Then what do you suggest we do? Fight it?" His icey blue eyes were trained on my reaction. I scoffed.
"Those Imperials out there couldn't care less if that dragon smashed you to Oblivion. Use your resources. Make a distraction. That dragon isn't going to be fixed on this location forever. He'll give up eventually."
"So you suggest we wait it out?" A female soldier ashes in disbelief.
"That's a death wish for sure." Ralof piped in. My eyes never left Ulfric's. And I could see the smile forming in his eyes.
"Alright, lead the way."
