Payphone GMD3 Fanfic Part I
Micky was walking along the pavement; he kept walking, and walking. He had no destination whatsoever. The only thing on his mind was how messed up his life currently is, and how broken hearted he is right now. Cheeks red out of anger, holding back tears as he looked down and kept imagining that shadow. The shadow of the person he loved most, the shadow of what used to be his. Imagining that certain girl who hurted him the most, Sam.
She wasn’t just a usual girlfriend, he reminded himself. She used to be his best friend; she was even considered a family member by his family.
He imagined the first time he met her. He was in class in 5th grade, was messing around with crayons and leggos in recess with Dan and Greg, his two best friends. Then their teacher, Ms. Potts, who were constantly wearing cardigan and had that awfull grandma smell, brought in this tiny black-haired, tanned girl. She had red cheeks; she seemed like the opposite of shy. The light of the day, some people say.
He still remembered what she wore the first day they met, she wore blue knited top and a floral skirt and white long socks. She had her hair in a ponytail. “Hi, my name is Sam”, she introduced to the class who were all busy by themselves.
She went in and walked care freely towards us. No, she didn’t go the where the girls were playing barbie dolls and having pretend-tea-parties. Instead, she went over to us and gave her hand out.
“Hi, I’m Sam”, she smiled. She had two loose teeth on fronth, which was hilarious. “Yes, I know”, Greg, said, still playing with his crayons. “What are you making there?”, she peeked through his drawings. Greg automatically pulled away, not letting her see. “Okay then”, she didn’t gave up. Instead she took three pieces of paper and some crayons.
Dan and me were curious with what she drew, while Greg is busy with his own world. After 10 minutes, her face lits up and handed all three of us that piece of drawn paper.
“Hey, here that’s for all of you. What’s your name?”, she was asking me while writing waiting with a piece of blue crayon to draw something.. “Michael, or Micky”, I raised an eyebrow, thinking what she’ll do next. “Okay, Micky, cute name”, she scribbled down Micky on top of the head where she drew all three of them in sticks. “Here’s you and me, I hope we’re gonna be good friends”, she said excitingly.
“And don’t be shy. Here”, she handed the paper to Greg. His blue eyes were curious enough to see what she had drawn for him. “Don’t worry. I bet your drawing is still better than mine”, she smiled again and ran off to another group of kids. Dan and Greg peeked to what she had made for them. A girl holding hands with a boy, there was a house, grass, and a sun.

Micky smiled at the memory, the reminder of how innocent we all were years ago. Now he was kicking stones, still being very pissed from the recent incedents. He definitely is having mixed feelings about everything. He hates her for everything she did, but his mind constantly reminds him of the good things and the memories of Sam. He can’t turn it off. He can’t choose what to think.
He pulled his hoodie up, the breeze was getting to him. But he doesn’t want to come home. His phone kept ringing, and vibrating from all the messages he got. “Fuck, shut up”, he said when he took out his phones. 13 misscalls were from Dan, 5 from Greg, and 1 from Sam. He scrolled down through his messages.
