I stood by the sea, the wind was dancing and the sun was gleaming. The beach which spread out beside my house is my favourite place in the entire village. Watching the vast waves under the infinite sky really calms me down and takes my mind off of the things that are happening in the world.

I reach out my hand and scratch my ears, My white tail just dropping down on to the sand.
"Silver! Come Inside!" My mother yelled.
"I'm coming, mom. Just give me a few minutes." I sighed.
"The Wolves are coming, hurry!"
"The Wolves?! "

I immediately dash into the house, my mother locking the doors and windows. I swiftly hid under a table as the howling and growls became louder and louder. Fearing for my life, I decided to grab a knife so I ran into the kitchen and made it back under the table.

But then, the growls and howling stopped. My ears began to twitch.
Everything was silent. I loosen my guard for just a second but sounds of smashed glass echoed through my ears. There was screaming and shouting, the growling came back too. My mind began to go blank; shivers came running up my spine. My eyes couldn't keep open any longer, darkness entered my vision and before I knew what was going on I passed out.

I awoke to nothing else but the colour red. A foul smell entered my nose. I got up from under the table and spotted my mother on the floor. My jaw dropped as the entirety of the room was splattered with blood. My mother was not moving and I could only assume the worst. Tears fell from my eyes. I only had my mother... My thoughts all came to a pause when I heard a growling sound coming from outside the house. I dashed back under the table.
"Any more of those pesky foxes?"
"Don't think so. This house is the last one."
"I think we can go home."
"Alright, This better be the last of the foxes for this town - We'll report back to the King. He'll probably want us to attack the fox capital next..."
"Yes, You know his majesty..."

As soon as I heard the footsteps of the soldiers fade away, I got back out from the table. I took another glance at my mother and I began to cry again. I thought to Bury her, to let her have a peaceful eternal rest, So I took her to my favourite beach and dug a large hole in which I placed the body of my mother in. I felt better of my mother's death and I decided to not let it be in vain.

My ears twitched and I heard another muffled cry coming from the distance. I recognised that cry from a fox so I hurried out to find who was crying. There was a fox about my age comforting a younger grey fox. He had large red ears and a red-orange tail. I hid behind the corner of another house checking for any werewolves.

The red fox, swiftly averted his eyes from the grey fox and directed his attention on me.
"Who are you? You're not a werewolf are you?"
I decided to not respond. The red fox began to glare at me, his pitch-black pupils giving me an intense stare, he stopped for a minute and looked back at the younger wolf who was holding onto him with his red eyes filled with tears.

Eventually, The red fox stood up and starting walking towards me speedily. I turned around, dashing into a nearby alleyway but I eventually came to a blocked corner.
"Are you a werewolf? Answer Me!" The red fox snapped, taking a few steps more towards me.

"I'm not a werewolf, I'm an Arctic Fox."
"So I chased you here for nothing?!" His mouth frowned as he loosened his eyes and let out a sigh.
"Who are you?" I asked curiously, "I have never seen you in this village before... " I mumbled.
"I'm Jax." He smiled, "I came here with my father to help out the townsfolk here. He's an ex Soldier."
His face started to look more sullen at the mention of his father.
"What about you?" He sighed.
"I'm Silver."
"I moved here a few weeks ago because of my father's death? No... I.. Don't.. Know..." I began to pause myself between the words- My face started to heat up, I felt like I was going to melt...
