I turn back towards the building as I begin to tremble, the two soldiers behind me carry me into the main room inside the Manor along with Jax who was still tied to my foot, He still seemed depressed and empty with that emotionless expression he was making.
Inside the Manor it was dusty, dirty and creepy. From inside you could see smashed windows, cobwebs covering the ceiling, broken floor boards and towards the middle back of the room there was two chairs which had handcuffs embedded in them. To no surprise, the soldiers were heading straight towards them.
I clench my teeth, shuffle and try to escape but it was no use, their grip was too strong, but I'm not one to give up without a fight.
"Hey! Settle down!" The soldier yelled
I scowl and turn to glare at him, I then give him a smirk to which he almost immediately flinches as I quickly bite his nose, The man yells in pain and as his grip loosens I take this opportunity to headbutt him in the chest toppling him over with ease. While everyone else is shocked, I hastily turn towards the soldier who is holding onto Jax, I look to see a dagger on his possession and as it would be handy to have I take one step with my front leg and attempt to topple over the guy along with myself and to my success, with how shocked he was I successfully sneakily took his dagger from his pocket and hid it into my pocket making sure the dagger was sheathed.
Not long after two other soldiers run to my direction and keep me kept onto the ground, one takes my arms and put it behind my back as I stand up. I try my best to keep my emotions concealed so the soldier doesn't notice anything amiss. I suddenly hear chuckling as the odd soldier walks up to me and holds a dagger beside my neck.
"Walk, and don't make any sudden movements." He smirked, "Otherwise, I won't hesitate to slice."
Realising there's nothing I can do I just obey the order, I walk all the way to the chairs dragging Jax, still looking as depressed and empty as before, as they handcuff us separately.
"Now then, Miss Silver." The odd soldier began, "Figured out yet what might become of you..?"
I pause for a while, thinking and analysing the group of.. soldiers..?
I speak suddenly without realising,".. You don't really seem like a soldier, The man I toppled over too and the one I fell on.. You don't seem strong enough to be soldiers.. wait.. "
And then I realise, I heard my mother talking about stories that happened in our old village, that Arctic Foxes of our kind were hunted and captured, not to mention, that majority of our previous village's foxes were all killed for being rebellious and refusing to hand over our breed, We were even more wanted and me being a golden eyed arctic fox put me at a greater risk...
Silence breaks when all the 'soldiers' begin to chuckle amongst themselves, "So she's figured it out now has she, well its too late."
The odd 'soldier' then walks up to Jax with a sly smirk, he then glances from him to me.
"Your going to be staying here until I make preparations for a certain, highly valued customer to arrive, The thought of a golden eyed arctic fox has interested him you see, so behave well!"
And then it's time to wait I grit my teeth in hope that the criminals will leave the room or at least fall asleep or take a break so that I can attempt to work through the chains of the handcuffs without them realising, but it seems impossible as they all just changed positions with each other and every time they did all eyes were on me and Jax.
The odds of getting out of this situation seemed extremely unlikely, on top of that I have far too many questions for example, how they knew of Jacksons identity and how they knew about my father despite the fact that they aren't really soldiers, but at this point I want to guarantee my safety before dealing with my curiosity..
