That night, I hardly got any sleep I kept thinking about what mom said, I woke up so early, I reckon I only got 5 hours of sleep. One thing I knew, I knew that I wasn't coming back home for a year, but where I was going, I know not. So I stood up and and paced up and down my bedroom trying to think about what mom meant.
I was just standing next to the door thinking. (Terrible idea) that's when I hit my head, well actually Grace hit my head by opening the door, but whatever. Grace walked into the room and turned to face me, she sighed and said " bye, I'm gonna miss having a sister " wow. Grace usually spoke maybe 20 sentences in one week to me. "Uh.,,,um, m-me, me to, i- i guess.." I stammered. She smiled, she smiled at me! I was happier than ever.(geez what a geek I am)
she pulled something thing out of her pocket, grabbed my hand and pushed it into my fists. I opened my hands. It was small, and blue, a- "a lighter"
Before we could continue talking, the door clicked open. I shoved the lighter into my pocket. Good thing, because if mom saw it, she wouldn't have wanted me playing with a lighter.
Mother walked in and motioned for me to go to the car.
I picked up my bags and took one last look at my room.
