CHAPTER THE TWELFTH

Min Yoongi distracted me more than I thought he would, and the way his whole countenance relaxed had me staring at him and thinking maybe he was cuter than I thought he was before I took the job. It was quite a task trying to keep my eyes from straying up from my computer. When Seo-Hyeon's voice crackled over the intercom, I couldn't tell if it was blessing or a curse.

And then I was met with cranky post-nap Yoongi.

Definitely a curse.

"C'mon, big boy. Time to get back at it." I scooted as close to him as I could, reaching over the desk and shaking his shoulders.

He grumbled, pouted his lips, and smacked my hands away all without opening his eyes.

"Be nice to me!" I scolded. "Now get up, I don't want to get in trouble."

"Mm, five more minutes." He just snuggled down into the chair, blanket back up under his chin.

"No. Now. If you don't get up, no more nap times."

He finally opened his eyes, just to shoot me a nasty glare. "Fine."

"Good!" I chirped.

He stuck his arms out at me, silently telling me that since I woke him up that it was my job to actually get him up.

"Oh, you are such a child. I swear I'm a kindergarten teacher all over again."

"Be nice to me!" He teased back.

I just yanked him up, a bit harder than I had to. Which, naturally, turned into him stumbling into me and me blushing more than a teenage girl with a crush. He took the opportunity to give me a squeezing hug and whisper a quiet thank-you into my ear.

"You are more than welcome." I smiled, pushing him a way just a smidge so I didn't implode with fangirl overload.

"Min Yoongi. Practice room. Now. Stop antagonizing the new tutor." Seo-Hyun's spidey-sense must have gone off.

"So. I really like this job and I would really hate to lose it because I kept a really cool idol in class too long. Please go back to work?" it took an amazing amount of self-control not to melt back into his arms when he protested. "Teacher here. I'm telling, not asking."

"Oh, fine. You're too good at winning."

"I am. Immunity to pouting comes in very handy here."

"Ha ha. Very funny." His arms were folded over his chest, and his eyes were just the tiniest but puffy from his nap, and he was the picture of perfection.

Goddammit.

"Okay, seriously, time to go." And I was rushing him out the door before I had another chance to think about his cute face or warm arms.

A few minutes later, there was another knock at my door. "Hi, Miss Jane!" Hoseok smiled as he cracked the door open. "I have question."

Okay, go ahead and ask!" I waved him over as I took a seat back in my chair.

"I want to learn. Fast. Can I have more to do?" He was so sincere, eyes pleading.

"Let's talk about that first."

Cue pouting. I swear these idols had pouting down to a science. "Why?"

"Well, you already have a lot on your plate, and tutoring is just another thing. I don't want to overload you with work to the point where the personal parts of your life are suffering. Learning a new language is hard."

He looked just a little confused.

"I don't want to make you more stressed."

"Ah! It won't, I promise!"
