~*~

The ghostly turtle's eyes filled with tears as he watched the wise rat in front of him break down.

"Please don't cry, papa." The turtle whispered, placing his transparent hand on his father's back.

Splinter shivered, tightening his kimono around him and "Oh my sunshine, how I miss you."

Tears fell from the rat's reddish eyes and dropped onto the dojo floor. The ghost turtle sniffed, "I'm here papa, I've been here for months."

The grieving rat hadn't heard. He only muttered under his breath and sunk deeper into his meditation, tears still falling down his cheeks.

The angel faded away. He'd try again next time. "Please, my family...I am here and I miss you, I am here for you....please don't cry."

He slowly dissapeared from sight. Leo walked into the lair shortly after. He had a dull look in his eyes.

"Oh otouto..." He mumbled. "I miss you...we all miss you, we need you..." The leader buried his face in his hands and sobbed harshly.

Raph walked in, wearing more wrist wraps than usual. He had an angry look in his red, puffy eyes.

"Shut up, Leo!" He shouted. "Can't you be quiet?!" Leo looked up at his slightly younger brother with teary eyes.

"I'm just grieving the loss of our little brother, unlike you." Leo muttered, dragging his arm across his dark blue eyes.

Ever since Mikey's death, Raph has been angrier than usual, if that was even possible. He was taking it out on everyone.

He'd punch Leo and Donnie, yell at Splinter and spend hours upon hours punching his dummy until his hands ached and bruised.

The hot-head growled as he and Leo started yelling at each other. Suddenly, the young ghost turtle appeared near them.

"Please stop fighting..." He mumbled. The ghost hated watching his two oldest brothers yell at each other.

Of course, they didn't hear him and continued yelling. Mikey sighed and teleported himself to the lab.

Donnie was there as usual, crying at his lab table. Mikey floated next to him...reaching his hand out to him.

Donnie immediately shivered and moved away. "W-Why is it always so cold in here...?" His teeth chattered.

Mikey frowned, tears filling his eyes. "I'm here..." He started to softly sob, but his sons fell on deaf ears.

"I am here..." He whispered, invisible t area dripping down his transparent cheeks. He slowly faded away.

The family never trained anymore. They just didn't have the mental state to handle it. And it didn't matter anyway...

Why train when they couldn't even protect Mikey?

The whole family was suffering, but Splinter took it the hardest. He blamed himself, in a way...even though his sons told him many times that it wasn't his fault.

He tried meditation to ease his guilt and grief, but nothing was really working. Leo did the same.

The turtles would tell him that nothing could be done. That it wasn't his fault. That they all missed Mikey.

Still, the wise father grew depressed. His thoughts often turned dark. The brother's thoughts did too.

They just didn't know what to do anymore...

Mikey's ghost watched them, calling out to them, trying to console them, but of course, they couldn't see him.

He just wished he was still alive...

"I am here...."
