The next morning Lea seemed to glide out of the bedroom, a goofy grin still plastered on her face from the night before. Images of skin against skin ran through her mind like a movie she didn't want to turn off, and almost caused her cheeks to burn. It wasn't like she was a virgin. Lea had slept with Mason plenty of times before.

But being with Dylan was different. It wasn't just something to do. It meant more to her than that.

Lea padded into the living room and spotted Jade sitting over by the window. She had a mug of hot cocoa in one hand and seemed to be watching expectantly as the rain fell from the sky. Lea cleared her throat to make her presence known.

Jada looked up at her and smiled. "Good morning, Sleepy head!"

"Morning J," Lea responded, returning the smile. She crossed the room to join Jade by the window and gazed out. "Damn, it's really coming down out there," she commented.

"Yea, it's supposed to storm all day...it's the perfect day to compare notes about Mason and Sofia, don't you think?"

Lea nodded. "Absolutely. We'll get started as soon as Dylan wakes up."

Jade raised an eyebrow. "That butt muncher is still sleeping?"

"He's pretty tired," Lea answered, trying to hide her knowing smile. "We all had a pretty rough night last night," she explained quickly.

"Yea, some more rough than others" Jade smirked. Her statement caused Lea's eyebrows to slant downward in confusion.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Oh nothing. A word of advice though Lay...if you plan on doing the horizontal monster mash with my brother again, I'd invest in some sound proofing."

Lea's jaw dropped as her stomach dropped. "JADE!" she exclaimed as a deep scarlet finally rose on her cheeks. She couldn't help the giggles that escaped her lips, however. "You're just ridiculous."

"It's in my nature."

"Hey, did you really just say horizontal monster mash?"

"Yea!" She proclaimed, clearly proud of herself. "It has a nice ring, don't you think?"

Lea giggled again. "Okay, psycho. Hey, do you want to watch a movie until Dylan wakes up?"

Jade thought for a while, but shook her head 'no.' "If it's okay, I'd rather just stay by the window."

"What are you looking for?" Lea asked as she peered out into the street and looked in the direction Jade's gaze directed. She saw nothing in particular except the rain droplets making contact with the pavement.

"Not looking, waiting," Jade explained to her. She shifted her weight away from the window momentarily to make eye contact with Lea. "For the rainbow."

"The rainbow? Funny, you never struck me as the rainbows and butterflies type of gal."

Jade smiled at the comment. "It's not that. I just really like rainbows. I hated rainy days as a kid, but the rainbow after the storm never failed to make me smile. It seemed so magical to me that something so beautiful could come out of something so dark and dreary. It all sounds really cheesy, but rainbows have actually gotten me through some really rough times."

"Have they?" Lea asked and Jade answered with a nod.

"The only way I stayed sane in prison was to think about rainbows. Because it was inspiring to think that even the darkest of things could create something so bright. I knew jail was my 'rainy day,' and my rainbow was just around the corner."
