"I never truly understood you."

The blue-haired prince turned around and was immediately greeted upon deep brown eyes behind him.

"And what might my curious tactician be doing all the way into the forest this late at night?" Chrom chuckled effortlessly.

"Well, my strange prince, I was finishing up a bit of paperwork when I suddenly heard a loud thud and a low groan come from his highness's tent. At first, I chose to ignore it, but it soon dawned on me you could have broken something this late again. When I was about to leave my tent, I suddenly saw the O' wonderful prince of Yilesse wander off into the woodlands. Without a jacket at that! Are you intending to become sick?!"

Chrom laughed. "Please Robin, the only thing shattered tonight is your sleep schedule. Not that you get much, anyway, however."

The tactician rolled his eyes.

"Besides, I'm not that clumsy."

This gained a snort from Robin. "Pardon? All of our training dummies are flown to dust thanks to Lord Chrom."

"I'm not as clumsy as Sumia, I recall."

"M-Maybe, but that doesn't exactly answer my curiosity, Chrom."

"Well.." Chrom smiled. "Much like you, I was doing paperwork when I decided to take a break and venture off for a bit. Perhaps I should have been more cautious, my armor fell off the clothing rack while I was searching for a coat. My feet and heart hurt, much to my displeasure."

As a sigh left the prince's lips, his companion suddenly burst into a fit of laughter.

"R-Robin? Is something the matter?"

With tears forming in his eyes, Robin spat out. "Sorry, but that's the reason we're out here? You make me rather difficult to maintain myself."

"Come on Robbie, it's the dead of night."

"A-alright. I must-"
As a final chuckle left his mouth, he took a breath and continued.

"I must admit your dumb words make me quite fond of you."

Chrom kept glaring at him. "You're a rather very confusing sight, Robin."

"Apologies for the outburst, milord. Nevermind my fit, where are you headed off to?"

Noticing the smile on his eyes, Chrom spoke. "Maybe the lake nearby, I could indeed use some refreshing water tonight. I could also damp a certain someone while I'm at it."

Noting the mischievous look upon the taller man's eyes, he spoke, "And am I not to enjoy my nighttime with my favorite prince after all?" Robin pouted.

"All these high-class names you've been giving me remind me an awful lot of Frederick."

"Well, don't you think he would be out searching for you if he found me damp, even at night?"

Chrom, finally breaking eye contact, began strolling off, leaving his partner without an answer.

"Chrom! Hey! I'm awfully freezing you know! I could catch a cold!" Robin increased his pace to be caught up with him.

"Seems like his brilliant tactician isn't up for some fun this night?" A giggle arose from Chrom's chest.

"Surely, I'd prefer if it was in your quarters rather than this context, " Robin spoke.

"Ah, be patient, Robin. Only that arrives after time."

"I don't understand you. You are quite confusing."
