7th November
6.30 p.m."That's all, the three of you. Dominique and Vienna, I want your homework by tomorrow, got that?" Mr. Henderson nodded, moving his hand around to shoo us away.
I stood up, stretching. Math lessons were by far the worst lessons in all of the lessons and trainings.
Languages was okay- we had finally gotten the basics of French. Disguise class was okay too. We had finally finished etiquette, disguise and personality changes.
Math, however, was the worst. The numbers and statistics was way too much for me. Cara, however, seemed to love the math. She stated that math was beginning to become her favourite subject.
And there I was, I couldn't even do the homework he had set for us.
It had been around nine months since I had first joined Poison Ivy. It was terrible at first, waking up at six in the morning, the while of training and the classes. But as the months went by, it became easier to cope and to even ace those classes.
"Right, Vienna. Can I see you for a minute?" Mr. Henderson asked. I paused at the door, turning back around. Dominique and Cara both gave me what did you do looks. I shrugged in response.
"Yes?" I put my things back on my desk. He sighed, his hand going through his thick, white hair.
"The boss wants to see you, Vienna. Be on your best behaviour, won't you? I don't want to see any sass or anything." He nodded at me and I stilled.
"He wants to see me now?" I asked. He nodded, gesturing for me to leave so he could get his peace and quiet. It must have been a long day for him.
I quickly picked up my textbooks and notebooks and dashed out of the class, where Dominique and Cara were waiting for me.
"So, V? What happened?" Dominique asked. I shook my head.
"The boss wants to see me. I didn't do anything wrong though, did I?" I shrugged.
"Maybe you did something without him knowing? I've known you for around ten months: you'd do things you're not aware of." Dominique grinned.
"Yeah, real comforting, Barbie. Real comforting." I shook my head, laughing a little. Dominique could make anyone smile and laugh, even in the worst situations.
Right, you don't know why it was so bad to see the boss. So let me quickly tell you- he doesn't have time for 'our daily life'. He would only call one of us to his study if we did anything wrong.
He had called Dominique once, for being a little too intrusive in Cara's life. She had asked a little too many questions and Cara had blanked, and she had a little breakdown in the classroom, with led me to not believe everything Cara had said about her 'nice' orphanage.
So basically, you know the gist: getting called on by the boss meant something bad. But, it could also mean something good. It could mean that he had a mission for us.
I hoped it was the first. I couldn't handle the latter. I'd be too afraid to do anything and I would probably screw up the mission.
"I can take your books back to your room, if you like? That way you can run to the boss's study faster?" Cara suggested.
I shook my head, "my room is near the study. I can take the books up myself." Cara nodded, mouthing a good luck as I ran towards the elevator.
