Continuation from Last Chapter

Why am I so nervous? I'm just meeting him to thank him for helping me. I hope he call out to me since I don't remember his face at all...Shen Wei internally said while waiting for Yunlan to show at the cafe for their meeting. His thoughts was interrupted when he suddenly heard "Shen Wei!"

Shen Wei stand up from his sit and turn to greet this Yunlan when suddenly a tall, handsome guy hugged him out of nowhere. Shen Wei just froze on the spot. 

After few minutes of letting Yunlan hug him, Shen Wei finally ask "Are you Zhao Yunlan that help took care of me?"

Hearing this, Yunlan release the hug and look at Shen Wei's face. "Yes, it is me. You really don't remember me, huh....?" Yunlan sadly mumble to himself but he was too close to Shen Wei that Shen Wei heard him.

"I'm sorry, Yunlan. I know I'm supposed to know you from five years ago but, I really can't remember anything.." Shen Wei confess with guilty feelings.

"It is okay! Although I am sad, it can't be helped. It is not your fault, if  I want to blame anyone, I would blame your horrible father for doing such thing to you both!" Yunlan respond and set down in the opposite chair from Shen Wei.

"Owner! a black coffee and two sweet cakes, please!" Yunlan order since Shen Wei already order his food since he came earlier.

"Young man, every cake is sweet! Be more specific!" the owner yelled back at Yunlan for vague order of cake.

"Ehhh..owner.. is it anyway of talking to your favorite costumer!!!" Yunlan yelled back, teasing the owner. Yes, this is Yunlan favorite cafe store and he love all the cakes here.

"Shut up, Yunlan! You should learn from your companion how to order food! You have been coming here for more than 2 years now, still don't know how to order food properly!" the owner yelled back while putting two cakes, one is red and the other one is green.

"Oh~~ come up, uncle Li... Don't whine. You know I just love all your sweet cakes that I don't want to choose~~~" Yunlan whine like child making people in the store and owner laugh at him.

"Oh shut it, my boy. Here two cakes and your black coffee. I advice this green tea cake for you, young led." Uncle Li gave it to Yunlan and brought extra green tea cake slice for Shen Wei.

"But I didn't order it?" Shen Wei try to reject it but uncle Li just wink at him  and give a smirk to Yunlan and left them alone.

"Xiao Wei, just accept it.  It just his way of doing business. That cake is not as sweet at you think." Yunlan said finally turning is attention on Shen Wei.

Shen Wei blush for being found out, not liking to eat sweet food, unlike his didi who loves sweet.  Also because how Yunlan just called him Xiao Wei.

"You must be popular here. Everyone seem to know who you are" Shen Wei started the conversation.

"Well, it come with my profession, you could say. I mean, I am a guardian for this city." Yunlan proudly said and gave Shen Wei a bright smile that Shen Wei can't but look away.

"A Guardian of the city?"

"Yes, I am Zhao Yunlan, the chief of the police force that is station here. But please call me Yunlan like before." Yunlan formally greeted Shen Wei.

Shen Wei nodded in acknowledgement.

"Chief Zhao...ah I mean Yunlan, thank you for helping Yezun take care of me this past week. I really can't recall all the details when I was sick, but I could vaguely remember two other people help me out beside my didi." Shen Wei bowed his head a little and thanked Yunlan.
