He gave me a kiss right on the cheek I couldn’t help but blush but at that moment I jumped out the car and got inside as fast as I could when I got to my room my heart was racing like never before from just him giving me a kiss on the cheek, and I just could not come to terms that I was in love with Kent, there was no way that I was in love.
“Damn it why did I go and kiss her so sudden!” as I sat in the car after parking the car in the garage wonder if I had done the right thing. I just sat there in the car wondering if what I did was a wise option and if she will still want to be my date for prom. As Monday came I got up at my usual time mom and dad had already gone to work leaving me to get ready for school, as I began preparations in the back of my mind I was still wondering on what was going to happen from what I did last night, but I just put it behind me and hoped for the best. As I pulled the car out of the garage I saw Ashley leaving her house, so I called out,
“Hey wanna ride?” she looked up at me and smiled and said,
“Sure” as she entered the car and sat down I really wanted to tell her how I felt but I couldn’t do that yet it just didn’t feel like the right time to do it so I put it aside till the time felt right. As we drove to school there was just that weird silence on our way. As I pulled into the driveway of the school she step out of the car turned back to me smile and said “thank you” I though this a bit odd because this was the first time that she acted this way, as the day went on I couldn’t help but think that she liked me so I decided to ask her when we go back home after school that day. When lunch came around I couldn’t find her so I went under the tree that we go to and ate alone.
“You’re in a very cheerful mood to day, are you ok?” asked Sally on our way out of class I just turned to her and smiled, all she could do is just look at me in confusion wonder why I was so happy, as the bell rang for the end of school and we stepped outside she Kent there waiting for me in the car, she just looked at me and said “Oh I see” and she smile “I’ll call you later, bye”. I got in the car and we drove away as we pulled up to my house he stopped the car turned to me and ask me,
“Ashley do you like me?” I just looked at him and smiled I got out of the car walked to the house and before I entered I blew a kiss at him.
“Wow I am a lucky guy to believe that she would like me, a some what stranger wow” I told my mother when I had gotten inside.
“I am happy for you, but remember no one must know your true identity” my mother told me as she was preparing dinner, I looked at my dad to hear what she would say,
“Well all I can say is be careful you don’t know what would happen if she found out about your true self”
“I was so happy to hear that she like me I thought that she thought that I was a freak, but my dad was right I can’t let her know what I truly am.”
“When I to my room I heard the phone ring but I wasn’t able to answer it”
“Ashley answer the phone its for you” as I pick up the phone I wondered if it was Kent,
“Hello?” I was hoping that it was him,
“Sorry its not your boyfriend, so come on tell me are you guys together come on tell me” all I could do was tell her that we are just talking, “I can’t tell her anything yet” as I laid on the bed thinking to myself,
“Ashley you are hiding something from me and I will find out sooner or later”
“Awww are you angry hahaha this is when I can now mess with you”
“Girl you are so wicked why you won’t tell me, I am your best friend from since Elementary school you can trust me” as she said begging to know what was going on. When dinner came around I went down stairs to have dinner my mother turned to me and asked,
