"Hey, Laura have you seen Indi?" Ashton smiled awkwardly at the girl that confessed her emotions to the boy less than 24 hours ago.

"No, I haven't. And my name is Lauren, you asshole." She smiled politely in return and walked away with a proud look on her face. Ashton laughed awkwardly as well, pretty confused about what just happened. He really didn't know who else to ask, this hallway was filled with jocks and cheerful freshman who don't know who Indigo is, or who just don't care about her. Her last class was Chemistry with Mr. T, but he wasn't in the same class as her. Which kind of was no help at this moment. Ashton sighed quietly and adjusted his bookbag. He was taking out his phone to call her again, when he saw a stranger with chemistry books in their hands.

"Hey, uh, were you in Chem with Mr.Turner last period? Like just now?" Ashton spoke up. The guy had blonde hair with blue eyes, a type of guy Indi would call cute in a sarcastic tone. He was the epitome of the type of boys girls would fall for in movies, she'd say.  Ashton can practically envision her rolling her eyes already. The chances of her speaking to him are rare, but maybe he remembers her answering a question or her name from yesterday.

"No, do you need the hand out he gave the class? He said there were extras if you lost your copy, dude." The guy smiled, showing perfect white teeth. Ashton had to control his laughter, Indi would hate this guy with a passion.

"I don't need a hand out, I was going to ask if you've seen Indigo Miller? Short, like this big," Ashton raised his hand to his shoulder, trying to estimate Indigo's height, "dark brown hair, and like I said yea big?"

"Nah, I lent this textbook to Alex, though. He had Chemistry with Turner a few minutes ago. I'm Blake by the way." The blonde boy, who now had a name, answered.

"Yeah, that's great. I'm Ashton, and who's this Alex?"

"He's a new kid hair that looks black. Fair skinned, about your height. Give or take a few inches taller. I believe his locker is by the French class." Blake spoke, now unlocking his locker.

Ashton smiled and mumbled a thank you before running to where French was. He saw Alex at his locker, four lockers down from the classroom entrance. Alex opened his mouth, prepared to talk to Alex, when he saw a small figure next to the new kid. It was Indigo, and Ashton couldn't help but smile to himself and keep his mouth shut. I've got t o hear this, He thought.

"Did you get to your homeroom earlier this morning?" Indi smiled, watching the boy put his stuff in his locker.

"Yeah, I know Mr. Turner said to show me around and help me out, but I think I'll be fine, you're making me feel like a little kid."  Alex looked at her, making eye contact and laughing quietly.

"Good, it's my job to make you feel awkward." Indigo joined his laughter and reached out to mess up  his hair when she noticed Ashton was there. Her eyes widened, and she immediately started blushing. "I, uh, gotta go." She muttered, walking away to the other boy's direction.

"Good, it's my job to make you feel awkward." Ashton cooed, mocking Indigo's voice.

"Seriously? Shut up, Ashton." The small girl groaned in annoyance.

"Seriously your face, Indigo. I was looking for you. Next time tell me if you're gonna be flirting with your boy toy after school." Her best friend smirked, and opened the car door for Indigo, laughing as the girl rolled her eyes.

"Okay, that's enough," Indigo mumbled. "Thanks for waiting for me, Ash."

"You're welcome, loser. Sorry you couldn't touch his hair because you noticed me." Ashton spoke, causing Indigo to smile.
