Pressure

Chapter 1

"Morning dad" I walk up behind my dad and give him a kiss on his forehead.

"Morning Rose" he replies turning his head for the kiss.

I walk over to the cabinet and grab a coffee mug, start the coffee machine on French vanilla cappuccino, then I walk over to the fridge and grab two yogurts. One for me and one for dad. I bring them over to the counter.

"Gosh dang it!" I walk over and grab spoons.

"Thanks sweetie,"dad says.

"Yep" I reply.

I then sit down and open my yogurt and get my coffee. me and dad have been doing this since I was 12. Only I didn't have coffee... I wasn't allowed. So I had hot chocolate instead. I stare around my big kitchen and look at dad, he has his glasses on, is reading a news paper and has his and my matching coffee mug that I made for him. I look away and check the time 6:50. Mom will be coming down in 10 minutes. I finish of my coffee in silence with me and dad talking not to often. Before I know it, it's 7:00. Mom comes down stairs in a rush.

"I don't have that much time today. Jerry wants me to come in early."

Gghrrrr. Jerry is her boss. He always gives her commands. She wanted to quit, but I guess she gets paid well.
Mom comes over and gives me a hug and kiss, grabs an apple and goes to work.

"I have to go get ready." I tell dad.

"Okay." He says back like he's listing.

I run up my spiral stairs. When I reach the top I'm a little dizzy.

"Hey, Rose." My little brother and sister come over and hug me in a sleepish hug.

"Hey dolly, hey buddy, go get ready. You only have school
today and none tomorrow because it's veterans day. did you guys get your cards done for Danielle?"

Danielle is our sister. she joined the navy like a year and a half ago. She is planning on coming home for Christmas this year! Only 1 more month.

"I'm done." Jo says.

"I'm almost done" Michael replies.

Jo smirks and Michael gives he a glare.

"Stop it you two." Their twins, and never get along. They were born at the exact same time. Not even a second apart. They go get ready and same with me. I put on my outfit for the day (above). I then do my hair then go downstairs and tell dad I'm ready. He grabs his keys and we head out the door for the day ahead of us.
