Concept:
In the near future, a company is started in which they commission robots made with the intent of having them take the role of a boyfriend or a girlfriend for people desperately craving affection.
One man desires to commission them, and what he got at first was perfect; it was exactly what he needed--a hug while he goes to sleep, a kiss on his cheek when he wakes up, and someone to help make his lonely house not feel so cold.
Only, the technology used was more advanced than anyone had expected--even the creators hadn't expected it. As time passed, the robot seemed to harbor their own, unique feelings. They were a lot more than just an android.
