4 years later...
"Jasik!" Someone yelled in my ear, making me jump, my knees bumping up against the desk, making a loud bang.
The teacher raised an eyebrow at me as everyone else stared at my flushed face. I didn't have to turn to know a Leven was right beside me.
Once everyone looked away and class started again, I turned and glared at Leven. He shrugged innocently.
"I've been trying to get your attention for half an hour now" he grumbled " you should really stop blocking us off"
I just glared at him, not paying any attention to the weird look the person behind me was giving me.
"I cant hear your thoughts you know" he said, waving his hands dramatically, being a smart ass.
"Fuck off, you know you aren't supposed to bug me at school" I snapped, sending my thoughts inside his head with little effort.
"But in case of emergency, I can" he said, sitting on my desk. I could never get used to seeing things that other people can't.
I forced my face to remain emotionless, aware the person behind me was still staring at me.
"What has happened?" I thought.
"The usual. Vampires made a dog joke to a newly bitten werewolf and the Wolf got mad, turned and attacked. As per usual, the clan of the vampire and the pack of the werewolf got involved, now its all out war in the lobby" he explained and I groaned, laying my head on the desk.
This was my life. Trying to make peace among races. But apparently, not a lot were willing to change.
"Anyone dead yet?" I asked him, staring at the floor.
"No one died when I left. Felix was trying to break them apart, but they lashed out on him, that's when I left" Felix, my second in command was a shapeshifter, could change into anything he wanted.
No, weres and shapeshifters were not the same thing. They were related though.
Shape shifters could change into any animal or person they wanted but doesn't feel any connection with what they change into.
Weres on the other hand were what they could change into. They were half human and half animal, with both instincts. Some weres go crazy at the pressure of the two instincts fighting against each other.
"Earth to Jasik, are you listening?" Leven sung.
"Huh?" I said loudly, enough to get the teachers attention.
"Do you have a question Frankie?"
"No Miss. Henry" I mumbled.
"Pay attention" she snapped, continuing with her lesson.
"You need to come now" Leven said more urgently.
“fine“ I raised my hand “I need to go“ I demanded, looking into the eyes of my teacher “let me go“ I sent into her thoughts.
She nodded, blinking at the force of the compulsion and I escaped the classroom before she could change her mind.
Leven was close behind as I opened the bathroom door, focusing on making the door a portal. I entered.
The lobby was a mess. Vampires fangs flashed and werewolves, the kind that changes into huge wolfs, purebreds, attacked each other.
Blood splattered on my golden walls, staining the beautiful swirling pattern.
