Twelve trines beforeSoraya turned ever so slowly at the abrupt sound of the day room doors slamming open and and an ever so furious Seladon rushing in. Book in hand remained read as her sister quickly approached. "How can she be so blind! Have I not groveled, listened and written till my hand has cramped enough to earn just a slight bit of respect." Seladon's face grew a deep red and looked about close to popping which Soraya found bemusing. "Come and sit, dearest sister." Soraya motioned to the chair opposite of her own. But Seladon didn't want to sit, no she preferred to pace where in her mind the ground was the image of the All-Maudra's face and she just wanted to stomp, stomp, stomp! "I don't think the floor deserves such a harsh treatment- it hasn't done anything to upset you."
"Curse these floors! They are the same patterns, cuts, layout and style as the blasted throne room!" Seladon stomped once, twice, three times till she was left a panting mess of dress and hair. Her silver circlet laid crooked across her hidden forehead. Soraya closed the book and glided over to her sister, a gracefulness in which Seladon envied her for. "What an unkempt princess you are. You know better than to throw tantrums." Seladon remained silent, hands balled into fists she had formed in her spout of rage. Soraya waited much like she always did when dealing with her sister. Seladon slouched forward till the top of her head fell just under her twins chin, face buried in the cloth of her chest. The tension of her arms and shoulders fell away till they hung loosely between the both of them. Soraya brought a hand up and carded her fingers gently through the strands of her sisters hair.
"I know you seek much from mother but you cannot let your emotions cloud over the fact that she deems you the most responsible to take on such duties." Seladon sniffled into her bosom like a childling. "All I want is for her to see me. To see what I've done- what I've accomplished but she never even bats an eye. But let it be Brea-"
"Do not foul mouth Brea when she is not here to defend herself." Soraya eased Seladon from her body till she stood puffy eyed and flushed. The eldest princess shifted the latter's circlet till it sat in place once again, laid her hair so it looked untouched and wiped the tear stained with long fabric of her sleeve. "Not I, Tavra nor Brea could hold up to the light you have been given. You will be the future All-Maudra, Seladon- let that be the balm to your wounds." Seladon only nodded, took her sisters hand and joined her at the table.
Current Day
Soraya and Seladon entered the main chambers and was immediately greeted by the stand by paladins. "I need to go talk to mother, I will see you in the day room." Seladon departed down the hall and Soraya went in the direction of the day room but stopped upon seeing both Seladon and Brea in a heated argument outside of the throne room. Remaining hidden amongst the shadows, Soraya listened as Brea tried to explain that something lurked under their mothers throne but Seladon was having none of her younger sisters delusions. The both continued back and forth till the All-Maudra appeared to try and acquiesce the two but it seemed the battle that Seladon thought to win was not in her favor for their mother sent her away to examine the lamdstrider herds. Seladon scoffed, fury in her steps as she departed briskly.
Soraya watched as Brea led their mother into the throne room and when their voices ceased in sound did she move to follow. The throne in which sat for many trines was missing the seat and upon looking down was a staircase leading down into a secret room. Soraya crept quietly down the stone stairs till she came to a room of stone itself with symbols lining the walls of each of the seven clans. And the beast that Brea spoke of stood right in the center, hovering over her sister and mother while they dreamfasted. The creature, Lore turned to watch Soraya who held her hands up to show no harm as she neared the two. But Lore recognized her face and made a move to warn her off. "I only wish to see what they see. I mean no foul in my actions." Lore tilted it's stone head- the female looked familiar and spoke familiar yet she was different from the first time he encountered her. So he appeased but only barely, his stance huddled closer to Brea. Soraya bowed her head and placed a single hand on that of her mother's and sister's.
