Some of the art I have done over the past one or two years, or recently.
Please enjoy. 💙
DRAWING REQUESTS ARE OPEN. Please see the chapter titled "Requests" for more information.
Okay, so, bit of a disclaimer: As I'm sure y'all know, the way I draw animals is probably way different from the way you guys do. And that's perfectly fine. I'm just trying to be helpful, and give you peeps something to look at in this absolute monstrosity I call an artbook. I hope this helps you guys! <3 -----------------------
FRONT FACING/ANGLED POSITION

Okay, so. When drawing a sitting animal, I usually start with three circles: one for the head, one for the middle of the body (chest and stomach area), and one for the bottom. These circles are more of a guide than anything as to how I'm going to draw the animal. The little line in the first circle is the line I use for the entire structure of the face, and its angle can change depending on where the eyes look and if the head is turned a different direction while the rest of the body stays stationary. ---------

Next, I draw the facial features: the eyes and eyebrows, the nose, and the mouth. I have drawn a variety of facial expressions, but I'm partial to drawing the animal as indifferent, tired, annoyed, or embarrassed. In this drawing, the animal is happy. The pupils are usually always large and round unless I draw the animal as surprised or angry, in which their pupils will be smaller and more narrow. Females also usually have eyelashes to distinguish them from males. The nose is either a triangle shape (cats) or a rounded triangle-LIKE shape (dogs/wolves). --------

Then, I do the ears and hair. The ears are strange, and are usually drawn like the picture above, unless the animal has scars, piercings, or ear tufts. The hair (in between the ears) can vary from animal to animal, but I usually draw this kind, where it is short and kept out of the face. -----------

Next, comes the cheek fur. Slightly self explanatory, but I usually draw it curly like in the picture above. ---------------

The body and the legs are often the hardest part, but this one actually came out pretty good. When I draw animal bodies, I often have lots of curves, as shown above (Even tho the anatomy is unrealistic). This is a guide for the fur. The forelegs are often drawn close to together for a reason I can't explain, and the hind legs look like rocks (kinda). --------------

This is how most of my sketches look before I erase them and redo the lineart to make it more presentable. The fur is also curved, and I often draw it fluffy looking because most of my animal OCs are extremely fluffy. I also add lines to the paws to make them more realistic looking. ----------------------

I then draw the tail. The tail is usually curved because it looks more natural and gives the drawing more movement, but I also draw them straight out to the side or over the paws. This tail looks somewhere between good and bad. ----------------
