Some of the art I have done over the past one or two years, or recently.
Please enjoy. 💙

Alrighty, so just like in the sitting tutorial, I draw three circles: one for the head, one for the middle (stomach and chest area), and one for the flank. The line in the first circle is once again a guide for the entire facial structure.

Now we move on to the face. This cat has dilated pupils, which I usually use for angry, frightened, or surprised expressions (I also have an OC named Sero with naturally dilated pupils in this book, if any if y'all were wondering).

And now the fun part... When I draw a standing cat, I like to call the shape I make like the one above a peanut. The chest and flank area are more rounded, and stick out a bit more than the other parts of the body. It will look better when I add the legs, tail, and fur, I promise... 😅

Okay. The legs are often the hardest part, as sometimes the paws can be too small/big or the proportions do not look right (not that this is proportional because this is not a realistic looking cat).

The final sketch before I do the lineart. The fur is curled and the tail is large and floofy.
