Crash

-Your POV-

you start feeling super anxious while you are sitting waiting for your plane to take off. you start gripping the armrest to your right not realizing you are gripping the arm of the girl next to you, you hear a slight giggle next to you and you open your eyes to see this brown-haired brown-eyed beauty staring back with a smile on her face her eyes then travel down to where you are gripping her arm and you move it quickly noticing and start blushing bright red."uhh sorry I didn't mean to I'm just super afraid of flying and this is my first ever flight so it's a bit intense". she nods understanding and extends her hand out gently, "I'm Lilly by the way" you smile shaking her hand gently "I'm Y/N it's nice to meet you".

you notice that even only speaking to her your nerves are already calmed down a little. she looks at you giving a warm smile and puts her hand out on the armrest palm facing up and you gladly take hold of her hand as the plane engine turns on making your nerves go crazy again, you sit hopeful that this 2-hour flight goes as fast as possible.

-Lillys POV-

Oh god, I cant wait to get seated on the flight I'm ready just to relax, these last few weeks have just been crazy, with school finishing and having to grade everyone's exams, you see I'm a year 9 (8th grade) math teacher so its the year before they have to study for the full exams in year 11 it's the last time they can really just sit back and relax and just have a bit of fun while learning before they become super stressed so I take all the stress of trying to make it fun for them before they finish the year.

finally, I'm on the plane, as I sit down I notice a nervous-looking girl in the seat next to me but I brush it off, flying isn't for everyone, I mean I use to hate it but it gets me to places I can fully unwind so to me its worth it. next thing you know I can feel nails digging into my arm, not super hard but enough to make it hurt and possibly leave marks so I look over at her smiling gently so that I don't upset her by making her think she's hurting me, that's the last thing she would want is to think she's hurting me. she then looks at me and I look down at my arm and she panics which I'm telling you now is freaking adorable especially when she starts rambling so I just nod and offer her my hand to shake as a hello and I introduce myself making her give me a small smile before she introduces herself.

is it bad I kind of don't want this flight to go fast because of how gorgeous she is? I can't help it though I haven't had a date in forever because I just never have time for them, being a teacher takes up all your time and can be very draining, but on the bright side it is super rewarding seeing how far they've gone years later. Anywayyyy back to the beautiful girl next to me, I should try strike up a conversation so I can get to know her.

"Hey Y/N so let's try and get your mind off being nervous, shall we? if you'd like that is?" I hope she does.

she smiles at me "that would be nice Lilly thank you, what do you have in mind?" 

"hmmm how about I get some questions up on my phone and we play 21 questions before we have to put my phone away?" she nods smiling even more. "I love that game so sounds good to me."

I smile and start typing into google 21 questions and it comes up with questions to ask a girl you like so I copy and past it to my notes then turn my wifi off and I look at her. "right question 1 what one personality trait that impresses you?" she thinks for a second "hmmm it would have to be loyalty" she looks down for a second like she got upset by the thought of it "hey are you okay?" I ask her and gently lift her chin with my finger getting her to look at me, and at that moment the seatbelt sign gets put on and a look of fear goes through her eyes and I give her a comforting smile, "it's going to be okay nothings going to happen you can hold my hand it that helps?" I hold my hand out for her which she takes almost immediately.

----------Time skip an hour or so-----------

So far there hasn't been any turbulence or anything it's been pretty smooth but Y/N hasn't let go of my hand once and it's felt so nice, what is with this girl I barely know her and yet there's so much about her that's pulling me in.

All of a sudden the plane starts shaking and Y/N grips my hand tighter and starts freaking out, I hold her hand tighter letting her know that it's okay and I'm right here for her, I start watching the flight attendant as I notice they all seem panicked slightly and I watch them strap in holding onto whatever they can, then out of nowhere the plane starts tilting forward in a worrying angle I take a look outside just as the oxygen masks drop from the compartments they are stored in and notice were heading straight for the sea, look at Y/N and tell her to put her mask on and brace for it because it seems like we're about to crash, she starts crying scrambling to get her mask on and I put mine on and I grip hold of her hand and I start praying hoping that somehow we get out of this and survive. next thing everything goes black.
