Ash POV

“Alpha! Rogues!” George called.

“Oh Shi…” I say spotting a little kid within earshot, his small head poking out from behind a tree. “…zle berries” I finish. We haven’t had rogues in ages. I rush to the border as three figures run past. They’re the rogues. But they’re out of the territory before I could catch them. A captivating scent hit me as they ran past; one of them is my mate! A new scent entered the territory, more rogues. Honestly. I shifted into my black wolf and went to find the new rogues. I met them in a clearing close to the border. They seem to be looking for something. But they weren’t all wolves. There were bears, lions and different birds of prey. Only one was in human form. Familiars.

“Shift!” he commanded. I obliged and put on a pair of pants.

“Your turn.” I say and the rest shifted. “State your business in my territory.”

“We are looking for three of our kind. They may have passed into your territory.” The first guy said. Does he mean the three people that ran past? MY MATE IS A FAMILIAR?!

“Why do you need them?” I ask.

“The two girls are very dangerous. One of them is my son’s…mate. He is next in line for alpha of our…pack…and has run off with them. I need to put an end to the girls and get my son back. Will you help?” The man explains.

“What did the girls do?” I heard George ask. Sneaky, eavesdropping son of a bitch. The man turned to him.

“They pose a threat to the tribe.”

“Why?” The man sighs.

“These Familiars are extremely dangerous, no one knows what they are capable of. Will. You. Help. Us?”

“Fine.” I don’t know why I agreed.

“When you find them, let us know,” the man states. What have I gotten myself into?

Elise POV

We made the mistake of not masking our scents and sleeping too late. When I woke up I could see some members of my old tribe in the distance, running towards us. I quickly woke Storm and Will before packing up and dragging them both along with me. After a few minutes they recovered from the surprise and were able to run themselves.

We almost lost them when we entered a pack territory. Werewolves at that, and they are extremely protective over their territories. Oh shit. However any minute now the tribe hunting party would catch up so we had to keep moving and give them the slip. One we got to a clearing inside the territory we all masked our scent so our pursuers would be stumped. SUCKERS! I stopped dead in my tracks as the best smell I have ever experienced hit me. Like pine trees and vanilla. Mmmmmm. It was getting closer and I could tell it was a werewolf. Brilliant. My spark is a werewolf. I picked up my pace and caught up with Storm and Will who had stopped a little ways away for me.

“What’s wrong.” Storm asked.

“I found him. My spark.” Storm’s eyes widened. “He’s a werewolf…” I trailed off.

“We have to keep moving.” Will said.

“Follow me.” I say and start towards the source of the smell. I at least needed to get a glance at my spark.

I saw a figure up ahead. *That must be him!*  We had to keep running though, much to my dismay. We ran straight past him and made it out of the territory before he could do anything to stop us.
