On the Run

Chapter 3

Ash POV

"Oi Ash! Get over here would ya!" I heard George call. 'What did he do this time?' My wolf asked. I shrugged in return and walked over to where my Beta was leaning against a tree on the edge of the forest.

"What's up? What have you done this time?" I asked. He is a prankster. Also the Beta to the most powerful wolf in the world — the Alpha King. Me.

"You will find out in...5...4...3...2...1......NOW!" A big puff of black smog burst from a window on the second floor of the pack house. I shake my head. I know exactly whose room that is, his younger sister Alison's. Her head poked out the window, black dust all over her face and through her hair.

"George, you psycho!" she screamed. He started laughing. What. An. Idiot.

"Anything else on other packs?" I ask, fighting back a grin. I hope his mate is prepared for his stupidity. Neither one of us has found our mate and we are both 17.

Elise POV

"Done!" Storm and I yelled in unison as we shift back into our human forms. We had just spent eight hours shifting into all our forms. It was amazing. We can both shift into every known animal of the humankind, including the extinct species. My favorite extinct animal so far is the Tasmanian Tiger, while Storm's is the dodo. My favorite forms so far:

Extinct – Tasmanian Tiger or Saber tooth Tiger

Big Cat – Black Panther or Ocelot

Intimidating – Lioness

Bird – Golden Eagle

Sea Creature – Orca

Speed – Cheetah (definitely)

Basically I have a favorite for every possible animal category there is. So has Storm. Will just stared at us in bewilderment. Oh. This will be fun.

"Hey Storm..." I say, walking towards her, an evil grin spread across my face. "YOU'RE IT!" I yell after tapping her on the arm and shifting into my Peregrine Falcon form. Storm laughed at my childish behavior as I flew off, out the bedroom door and through the house. My senses are sharper and I can see with more detail. People turned and stared at me, which I returned with a falcon smile. I heard Storm's cheetah form behind as I flew out the door. She almost tagged me but I flew higher into the air. Storm growled and shifted into a Golden Eagle. I flew higher and higher until a large something blocked out the sun. I knew it wasn't a cloud so......oh SHIT! The alpha was in his form and hovering above me. He was a massive, fat, irritating son of a bitch in the form of a wedge-tailed eagle –

'I heard that.' His voice sounded through my head. Oh. Shit.

'What's up?' I ask, sounding as innocent as possible.

8 Months Later

 

"Leave me alone!" I wail. Bloody hell, what did I do this time? Be awesome? Be more amazing than the fucking Alpha? Be myself? "What did I do?" I say before the whip hits my back again. Ever since Storm and I received our bracelets, we have been dubbed "Satan's Twins". Honestly. All we did was become more amazing but we are an apparent "Threat to the tribe". Threat to the tribe my ass. Fuck them all. The only person who doesn't beat us is Will, but that's understandable. I've had enough of this crap for one lifetime. We need to get outta here before I lose it. And that ain't a pretty sight. When the turd of an Alpha left me I quickly recovered and ran to Storm's room. Storm was ... you know what? Let's just leave that out of here. I covered my eyes.
