Once settled in the living room Remus broke the silence. "Who are you?" He asked Salazar, who had moved to the frame above the fireplace. "Obviously he is Salazar Slytherin." Severus said mockingly though Gold could detect awe and respect in his voice directed at his house founder. "The question we should be asking" he continued "is how we remove the spell that is harming Hecate." Salazar frowned before answering Severus "the only easy way is for a living Parselmouth to say the Parseltongue, I won't say counter curse so, trigger word if you will, 'Aberro' but other than that it..." "Aberro" Hecate spoke to the shock of Salazar and confusion of the others. She giggled gleefully before repeating "Aberro Aberro Aberro!" "Conjure a snake! Quickly!" Salazar shouted and Severus did as he said. A moment later a young boa constrictor was in front of Hecate and she looked at the snake in surprise before Salazar started hissing. "Hatchling, we need to get the young babe to converse with you in your tongue. Could you say the word Aberro to her to get her to repeat it?" He almost whispered to the boa, as not to scare it. "I can do that speaker" the boa said before turning to Hecate. "Hello little speaker, can you say Aberro for me. Aberro." it hissed to Hecate. "Aberro!" she shouted again, this time in Parseltongue shocking two of the three occupants of the room.
Gold looked at his daughter on his lap and the snake on the table in fascination as it hissed something to Hecate. Once Hecate hissed back he felt a connection snap surprising him that he hadn't felt it before. "She did it." he muttered to himself in awe before Remus spoke. "She spoke Parseltongue. How can she speak Parseltongue?" he gaped in shock. Turning to him, Hecate giggled. "Pa'foo!" She said pointing at him. "It looks like she can see a resemblance dearie." Gold said smirking at the frozen wolf, snapping him out of his shock. Turning his gaze to Gold and ignoring his confusion for the moment he said "You told me you'd explain." before settling on the armchair he would frequent when visiting James at the manor. "That I did. Well I believe we should start with the same thing that Severus was started on." Gold handed Remus the test results from Lily before sitting back and pressing a damp flannel from Nanny on Hecate's head to wipe the dried blood off while Remus read about what the old man did to her. As he was reading Severus muttered to himself "it's one thing to read it on parchment, but it's an entirely different thing to hear it out loud." still shocked to hear the snake language from someone other than the dark lord. Once Remus looked up from the paper with anger in his eyes they knew he had finished.
"He will pay for hurting my cub." he growled, his eyes glowing amber. "He will, but it must be done my way." Gold said pointedly to Remus. "We can't have Dumbledore catching on and stopping us in our tracks."
"What do you suggest?" Severus asked, wanting to know what the man had in mind.
............................Time skip
Once Severus and Remus were returned to their homes Gold turned to go to the study only to realise that the boa was still there. He turned to Salazar and asked "Could you ask the snake if it would like to stay here or be released?"
The boa chose to stay with 'the little speaker' and they went on with their day.
In the study Gold decided to write a letter to the daily profit about the injustice of an innocent being locked away without a trial. Had he been locked away longer than just a few days it would be harder to convince the public of his innocence but luckily for him as it was still new news it would be far easier for him to get a trial. The question is...Will the trial be fair?

Sorry for the long wait. I'm writing this as I go and got a bit stuck. Next question.
Should I make Severus more like a uncle to Hecate or just a tutor?
It's something I'm a bit stuck on.
