Time Skip to Snake
When Gold arrived at Spinners end he walked up to the door of Severus Snape's childhood home taking the time to look at the building. It looked like a haunted house, even in daylight. The house was a mess with overgrown grass and bushes, dead plants and a chipped, broken door cracked open allowing him to just walk in. The inside was worse than the outside with rotting wood, broken glass and a clearly drunk wizard passed out on the stained sofa. Before he could walk any closer the wizard had pulled his wand from it's holster and pointed it at him. "Nice house you have here dearie. It really brings out the grief in your eyes."
"Who are you and what...?" Severus was cut off by the floo activating and Albus Dumbledore stepping through. While he was distracted Gold went through the door to the kitchen and hid. 'I do hope this doesn't become a habit.' He thought in annoyance as he listened to the conversation. "Severus my boy, I'm afraid I have some bad news." "I'm busy Albus. You can give me your false sympathy later." Snape snapped in a bitter tone. Albus looked startled but not shocked that Severus already knew about Lily's demise. A dark look crossed the old mans face. "You would do well to remember who your speaking with Severus. One word from me and you'll be rotting in a cell next to Sirius in Azkaban." Tension hung in the air before Dumbledore walked to the fireplace and murmured a floo address. Once he was gone Severus sat on the sofa and hid his face in his hands. Gold stepped out and opened his mouth to speak before he was cut off by an irritated potions master. "Just get to the point or get out, please. I don't have the patience for smart comments right now." Taking pity on the grieving man, Gold got straight to the point. "Korby." Gold called. The old elf popped into the room with the bag Lily Potter left for him. Gold raised an eyebrow at the elf, 'how did he know what I wanted?', but just ignored it and reached into the bag to grab the paper work. He handed the test results and completed adoption papers to Severus and dismissed Korby who took the bag with him. Severus cautiously read the first document, the test results, his face becoming more enraged the further he got. Once he finished, he read the adoption papers and relaxed slightly. Finally he turned back to Gold and gestured to a chair before speaking. "Have you had her tested since? He may have re-applied them at some point." Gold reluctantly sat in the damaged, old arm chair and replied "I have. He was so confident that nobody would find out that it seems he didn't bother checking them." Severus rolled his eyes and scoffed "Gryffindors" and then once again turned his gaze to Gold. "So why are you here? Surely you know that I'm Dumbledores puppet. Telling me this would hinder your escape." "I'm here to offer you a deal. If I help you escape conviction and Dumbledore, you come with me to my town and teach my daughter about the darker aspects of your world...and teach her dark magic." Severus looked at Gold as if he had told him he were a unicorn in disguise "You want her to learn about dark magic?" Gold didn't answer but instead sat in silence waiting for an answer. "I don't particularly have much left to lose." He mused before giving his reply. "It's a deal." "Excellent! You have a month to pack whatever you want to take. I suggest getting an inheritance test done before the month is up, just in case."
After discussing a few more details and informing Severus of the deal he offered Remus, which earned him little more than a cringe, Gold left to plan his next step.
Getting Severus his freedom.
Here you go.
I've got Korby the head elf, Filey the Jack of all trades elf, Nanny the self-explanatory elf. What should the other two elf's be called? The cook elf and the gardener elf. Thank you.
