It's taken some time getting used to the new schedule and being able to leave two hours earlier than before. It's also taken some time getting used to the fact that Kim is in all of my classes and Dax is missing only one.
Pink streak boy is also in two out of three classes of mine, and I literally see him all the time.
I'm not really sure what to think of it but I like it so far.
Honestly, I'm dreading that practice is gonna start soon. I just want to go home and especially when it does start it's gonna fuck up the whole schedule I already have.
Home girl was actually supposed to move in with me considering my mom is a lawyer and my dad works with the local hospital and they're never home. Meaning I'm stuck in the house with only my brother and my annoying ass older sister.
Those two are a whole different topic that I don't even wanna get on right now.
Kim taps on me, looking at the situation going on across the hall. We watch as people all crowd around a space of lockers, and I furrow my eyebrows as I look over at her.
"What's going on you think?" I ask Kim and Dax, both of them looking at me before we all avert our attention back to the locker. The bell rings which causes everyone in the halls to scurry away from the lockers, allowing them to come full in sight.
My jaw drops and I don't even look at my friends' reactions as I quickly get up and move over to the black lockers. In dark red paint, each locker is accented with a different letter of the alphabet.
"Anarchy?" Kim says in a questioning tone, and I look over at the two of them to see them both with their eyebrows furrowed. I read the letters over and over again, realizing that each letter is slightly different. Some of them are a darker red, some of them are lighter, some are solid lines and some look like they were spray painted on.
My jaw is still slightly hung as I try to take in the simple piece of art in front of me, realizing that it digs deeper than just paint on metal.
Of course, the two beside me don't see it like that, so I'm stuck as I try to evaluate this myself. My eyes travel all around the lockers, trying to pick up more clues to answer my wandering questions.
"MJ, we have to go." Kim makes obvious as she starts to slightly pull on my arm. I look at her and look for Dax to see him already walking down the hallway. I look back to the lockers before looking back at her.
"Can you tell him I'm in the bathroom?" I ask Kim, and she raises her eyebrows at me.
"MJ- I- Fine." She says, rolling her eyes as she walks away and continues down the hall. I watch her until she makes it up the stairs and I bend down to look at the bottom row of lockers, looking for something more that the top row isn't telling me.
I squint my eyes as I look in the bottom right corner of the bottom locker on the far right. I move closer to what appears to be more writing and gulp as I realize it's initials, meaning when the principal comes to observe this, because he sure will, he's gonna see the initials.
"D-H." I read out loud, thinking in my mind who the hell this could be. I think fast and move to the bathroom, quickly grabbing napkins and trying to put water and soap on them. I scurry out into the halls and bend down, trying hard to scrub the initials off of the art and not letting the culprit get caught.
I'm probably gonna get caught and asked what the hell I'm doing, in turn making it look like I'm the one who painted the lockers.
I move back to the bathroom and throw the napkins away after I'm done with the paint. One more look in the mirror and I clutch my bag as I walk out of the bathroom and back into the hallways.
