Scully spent a bit more time than usual getting ready that morning. She styled her hair a little differently, and decided to wear one of her hardly worn work dresses. Slightly undoing her top button, she wondered if she was going too far - but revenge is revenge, she thought to herself, as she smiled and gave some finishing touches to her outfit.
The door opened and she entered the office, where Mulder was throwing pencils at the roof. "Woah, Scully, what's the special event? Why didn't I hear about anything?"
"Can't I just look nice for once?"
Mulder paused for bit and gave his usual smirk and winked. "But you always look nice, Dana."
Before she had time to react, the phone rang. "Skinner wants us in his office."
"You go ahead. I'll arrive fashionably late, as always."
As Scully stepped out of the doorway, she gave a smirk of her own. "See you, Foxy."
The glimpse of his reaction was all she needed, as she made her way to the elevator.
"Yep..." Mulder whispered to himself, "Definitely gonna be a little late on this one..."
