"So who were they exactly?" Toothless asked the younger dragons seriously, going back to the subject of the three dragons. "And why would they try to hurt Hiccup?"

"We're quite familiar with those three slinkwings. They've caused us trouble in the past." Summer explained.

"I thought we would've never seem them again after they saw Toothless. They looked pretty scared." Winger laughed.

"Slinkwings...my father used to tell me about how a lot of slinkwings used to attack our village. He even caught one of them when they were trying to get to my mother. Of course, this was when our village was at war with the dragons." Hiccup noted. "Maybe they knew the slinkwing my dad caught and thought I was him, so they tried to attack me." He suggested.

"That's a good point. We'll have to keep an eye out and make sure we keep you away from them." Dak said. "Hey! I've got an idea. Let's go to Grumblegard's island! We can introduce Hiccup and Toothless to him! He'll get to meet new people and we'll get to see the babies again." Dak suggested.

"That's a great idea! When should we go?" Leyla asked.

"Well, I'm almost finished Toothless's tail. After we test it, we can go after that. We have about six or seven hours before the sun goes down." Hiccup mentioned. Everyone got stuff that they would need, which was basically just food and water, and by the time they collected their things, Hiccup was done. "Alright bud, let's try it out." Hiccup said as he strapped the prosthetic tail fin to Toothless's tail. He sat on his best friend's scaly back. Toothless spread his wings and began to hover in the air. They flew into the higher sky with the perfectly working tail. They performed a few flips and twists. Once they landed, they grabbed their share of supplies and everyone was off.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Along their trip, Hiccup told stories of him and Toothless's adventures together. Flying with the original team of dragon riders, village incidents, and more. Everyone enjoyed the tales and was so intrigued that their eyes were more on the viking chief than the big blue sky. Toothless smiled as he recalled each and every one of the stories.

"So you had to make a new tail for every time you both crashed?" Leyla asked, astonished.

"Not every time. Sometimes Toothless's tail stayed in perfect condition and we were back in the air in no time. And sometimes it was my left foot that was wrecked. Either way, we had to find a way to fix both our prosthetics to be able to fly. We were a team." Hiccup smiled as he rubbed the top of Toothless's scaly head as the night fury cooed and purred. They all flew for a bit longer before an island was seen in the distance.

"We're here!" Dak called out happily.

"And so are we!" A familiar voice was heard about 150 metres behind the group of humans and dragons. They all looked back to see the three slinkwings following them. The lead one spat acid aimed at Hiccup. Toothless twisted around so the acid hit him instead. He felt a small sting as he grunted at the sudden pain. He knew a mark would appear but he also knew that luckily, it wouldn't be permanent.

"Quickly! Get to the island!" Winger yelled as he sped up. The others followed his lead. As soon as they landed, a giant gust of wind pushed the slinkwings back. They yelled loudly as they were thrown back into the sky. All three of them shook their heads and tried again, but another gust of wind came their way. And after that, they left.

"That was close." Cutter panted.

"Too close. They almost hit Hiccup! Thank goodness they missed because that acid does not heal nicely." Aggro replied.

"But they did hit someone else." Summer added as she walked over to Toothless. Leyla jumped off the water dragons back.

"What did they say? I still can't speak dragon." Hiccup laughed.

"Oh, sorry. They were just glad you weren't hit with the slinkwing's acid, but they think Toothless was." Leyla informed.

"What?!" Hiccup exclaimed before leaping off Toothless's back and looked to his friend. "Where?" He asked as he examined the dragon. Toothless just rubbed his head against Hiccup's side to signal him that he was okay. Hiccup looked to him with confusion, then realised, "oh! That's right. Toothless's skin is so tough that it can withstand damage from fire, acid and other things like that. Completely forgot." Hiccup said with a relieved sigh.

"So his scales don't burn when acid touches him?" Dak asked.

"It'll hurt a little, but it won't cause any serious damage." Hiccup explained as Toothless looked to the others with a reassuring smile. The acid had hit his back left leg but he knew it would heal very quickly.

The ground shook as loud footsteps got closer to the group. "Nice to see all of you again." Grumblegard greeted the group. When Toothless caught his eye, he gasped and immediately bowed. "Alpha! I haven't seen you since your coronation in the Hidden World." He said as he stood up.

"Good to see you again, Grumblegard." Toothless greeted back.

"I wish I could speak dragon... what are they saying?" Hiccup asked the twins.

"They know each other! Grumblegard was in the 'Hidden World' when-" Leyla started.

"-Toothless became the alpha dragon." Hiccup cut her off, speaking slightly quieter. Toothless and Grumblegard continued to talk.

"So, what brings you back to my island?" The older and larger dragon asked the group.

"Well, we were here just for a visit...but~" Burple started explaining sheeplishly.

"-then the three slinkwings followed us." Cutter finished for him.

"And I just thought of an idea!" Dak called, clearly proud and excited about his idea. Which made everybody else nervous.

A/N

Whenever one of the dragons are speaking, I keep remembering than Hiccup can't understand them. Well, he can kind of understand Toothless because they're so close.

But at the end of every chapter, just imagine the twins fill Hiccup in with everything's that been said XD.
