Chapter 4: In the Spirit World

Nightmare Pov:

Me, my brother, and Cross walked through the shrine and ended up at the home of the dead. We waited for the others, it took a while.
"You guys stay here, I need to see what's the hold up." They promised me that they would stay in there spots. I walked back through the shrine and see Blueberry up the willow tree.
"W-what?! How did he get up there?!" I turned to Ink.
"Honestly, I don't know how he got up there, but Mt is trying to get him down." We looked up to see Blueberry still in the willow tree and Mt floating right where he is. I could hear their conversation.
"Come on Blue. I won't drop you, I promise."
"But you're a ghost! You can't touch skeletons."
"I touched the apple, I beat up bullies, and I moved the triangle thingy. I probably could carry you without letting you fall through me. Ummm ...Wait?! How about a piggy back ride? Your brother does that to you all the time when we were little." Then I see Blue get on Mt's back and they floated down to us. Blueberry had his eyes closed on the way down. When they got down where me and Ink is, Blueberry was still holding onto Mt.
"Um Blueberry? It's over." I said to him. He jumped off, and said, "Mweh heh heh! I floated on a ghost. No one would believe this at home." We felt sorry for Mt, she had to carry him all the way down from half a mile till they hit the ground.
"Ok, let's get back to the others." I said. I didn't want to hold their hands when they had to go through it. Unfortally, only ghosts, and spirits can go through this shrine. In order other monsters to go in the spirit world, a ghost has to hold their hand or whatever, and lead them through the different places that you could enter to get there.
"You do it Mt." I left before I could hear her answer. When I got to the other side, I couldn't see Cross or Dream anywhere.
"Dang it! They could get lost here. And this is why I don't like making or having promises." Then, Mt and the rest came through.
"Nightmare, where are the others?" Mt said letting go of their hands. I told them what I promised, and what we need to do.
"Mt, you and Blueberry go find Dream. He could be downtown of the spirit world, but look carefully." They both gave me a soldier solute and Mt floated above Blue and Blue was getting carried by Mt joining hands. And flew away. I had Ink with me, at least he was less annoying than Blueberry. We had to find Cross, but I don't know him that much. We only met for like, an hour or so.
"So, what does Cross like? Like, any things that he likes or wants to do?" Ink hand to think for a moment before answering the question.
"Well, he likes music, and anime." Of course he was those types of skeletons, the ones that like anime and cartoons. I would agree on the music but not anime.
"There is a library and a music store around here. So hold on tight." I grabbed Ink by the hand and lifted him off the ground and headed to the places he could be.

Blueberry Pov:

We were looking for Dream in any place other than what's not in downtown. When we landed in the center of the downtown sidewalk, we started to look for Dream.
"So Mt, who pinched me when we had that board with us?" She stopped looking for Dream and turned to me.
"Oh. It was Nightmare, he was right beside you. I couldn't do that to you guys." We kept on looking for him. Then we heard a gastly howl coming from the cafe. We ran, well Mt flew over to the cafe and we see Dream talking to a citizen about their lifetime before.
"So, how did you ended up here in the first place?"
"I got here by killing everyone in my path and got arrested. You want to see what I did to them?"
"NOPE!" Mt flew in there and grabbed Dream's arm, "Sorry sir, but we need to leave. Bye!" We got out of the cafe and we walked on the streets.
"Guys you can't just talk to random ghosts and expect them to be all nice. Most of these ghosts are psychos." Mt said to us quietly as she could, just in case some nutjob heard us.
"Ok Mt. But if been wondering. Why don't you walk on your feet?" I asked Mt. She could float but she still had legs and feet.
"Oh, ghosts can float and walk when they want to. Here." She floated down to the ground and started to stand like me and Dream. She was shorter than me by only an inch.
"Sorry for saying this out of the blue but, can ghosts age? And can ghosts change into human things?" Dream said unexpectedly to Mt.
"Yes, ghost can age if they died as a kid and ghosts can change into animals, and different objects, that monsters and humans can see." We asked Mt a lot of questions involving ghosts. And she answered them all with no hesitation.
"Last one." Dream said.
"But you said that the last 20 times already." Mt confest.
"Do you want to be human again?" She stopped looking at the ground and turned to us without her bright smile. After a few seconds, she tilted her ghostly head back to the ground.
"O-of course I do. I want to see Ink, my sister, and my old friends. I miss them very much, as you missed Nightmare." We didn't talk for half of the walk where Nightmare and Ink was looking for Cross. Then, Mt brought on a question.
"Hey! How about after we find Cross, how about some nice cream? My treat!"  We all agreed on the idea, and we ran to go find Cross a little quicker.
