We had gone to Cony Island for my birthday, it was just Echo and I. Echo was talking about how exciting this was, but deep down I had this gut feeling like something was wrong. I was paranoid, and kept that keychain with me, I didn't know why, I just felt safer with it. Anyway I was pretending to have fun we had only gotten there a few minutes before, but it was hard for me to let my guard down and I didn't even know why. Echo and I had just gotten off a ride when she gasped. FUNNEL CAKE! I looked up and smiled, that was enough to get me to loosen up a bit. You sit down, I'll grab some for us. I nodded and sat down at a table, and she walked off to get some Funnel cake, I had just sat there when I heard this hissing noise I frowned as the hissing grew closer, and became clearer. Raven, Raven. I looked up and over I stood as if I had no control over my body and followed the call of whatever was hissing my name.
Echo I turned around walking back with two funnel cakes and two drinks on a tray I had seen where she had sat but she was nowhere to be found I looked around and grabbed my phone and called her, I walked up, she left her phone and her bag at the table, like she had left in a hurry, all that was gone was the pitch fork keychain. Ravenna what the hell did you do? I muttered, I looked up and saw Chiron not far from where I was standing he frowned and I nodded.
Raven I frowned. This wasn't here last time. I muttered as I saw an abandoned part of Cony Island, I went here every year for my birthday and never had I seen an abandoned part, but this is where the hissing was coming from. Raven! I frowned as there were statues of people, with horrified looks on their faces, as if any moment an impending doom would strike. There was this Fog that rolled in and I felt my gut twisting. Go back, go back, go back! Another hiss of my name came my heart pounded. Ravenna go back! The voice, that belonged to the man with the red eyes I looked around I thought I saw a ghostly figure of him going through the fog. The key chain! The pitchfork! I grabbed it. Raven. I swung expecting to loose it, but when I looked down it wasn't a key chain anymore, it was a sword. *Image above* I looked around it seemed to be getting darker there were more statues, the hissing was getting louder there was more Fog coming in, but it wasn't fog it was smoke. STOP! I stopped letting a shaky breath out. Close your eyes. I did, I heard this movement around me something brushed against me I gasped some trying not to panic but I could feel my anxiety building. Raven, daughter of the lord of the underworld. Why did things keep saying that?!? I waited whatever it was kept moving around me about that time I heard loud galloping. RAVEN RUN! I did I didn't know how or why but I did not even opening my eyes, I suddenly felt a woosh around me and I flipped. I landed hard on my butt and opened my eyes, I was in some sort of abandoned building I looked around breathing heavy I looked down at my sword. Don't look her in the eyes. I grabbed my pocket mirror and I saw a half horse half man creature, a centore, but this thing wasn't just any guy it was Mr. Brunner. What? I muttered, he kept his head low and was listening to the movements and flying around somehow with a shield out and sword at the ready was Echo. I then saw this thing the top half was human, then the bottom half was a snake. I curled into a ball about to cry.
I found myself in the same place except the man and woman were both present they looked at me. Raven. I hugged the woman in tears. I don't know what to do! I looked up as he cleared his throat. Put these on. He said giving me sunglasses I frowned. The smoke is your alie, use it to your advantage, use the sword, oh and raise hell. I frowned
My head snapped up I grabbed a pair of aviator sunglasses with really dark tents I stood grabbed the sword and ran out I whistled and whatever this thing was turned. YOU WANTED ME! NOW COME GET ME! RAVEN NO! I used the smoke I somehow was able to hide in the shadows and also go between places through the shadows... Like something was moving me. I finally came out and snapped to get her attention she turned the ground shook I looked around, and the ground split. I frowned the green glow was terrifying. What the- I was cut off by these kinds of hands popping up. GO GET HER OUT OF HERE! Come on! Echo grabbed my hand and took off I screamed and she landed on a board walk. What was that?!? I snapped she looked at me. Echo?!? Raven you're in danger. I looked down and saw the marble I twisted it and it turned back to a keychain. We have to get you home. She said I looked at her Converse. Why do you have wings on your shoes?!? She sighed and shook her head. Not now. She said shaking her foot and the wings disappeared. Echo- she put the shield on her back and it looked like a backpack, she slid her swords blade down to where it was just the hilt and she pushed a button and it shrank. Echo. Come on
Skip We got back to my house and she started yelling for my mom. What's wrong? It's Started, she's gotta get outta here. Mom dropped her dish towel and nodded. Raven get a bag of stuff together. I just stood there. NOW! I ran up stairs I grabbed my bag and shoved stuff in and then grabbed my keychain and ran back downstairs to the car. And mom started driving. Echo, what was that?!? Stheno. What?!? Medusa's sister- yeah that's a myth! No Rave it's not. Why was Mr. Brunner- Chiron. What?!? Mr. Brunner, is a centore named Chiron. Wait as in trained- I hugged my knees. What's happening to me?!? You're a twelve year old Demi god, so now you're on the raidar of every monster, even more than you used to be. Demi- yeah you know-I KNOW! I yelled and closed my eyes feeling like I would burst into flame. Mom?!? She sighed and nodded. Ok, alright just- she sighed some. I was young, eighteen I was working at a diner I was a gothic little girl, my mom was trying to get me to grow up, about two months into working this guy started coming in always sat in my section, he was always listening to my kind of music, just something about him- she stopped and sighed some. He said he was a great deal older, I didn't think about it... You can guess what happened next. I looked down some. I got pregnant, he stuck around he was there when you were born. I kept getting flashes of the man. He was there a week when he had to leave back to his domain. Where? I never knew he used a fake name. I looked down some. When you turned a year old, the ring was just there. Why didn't you tell me?!? I snapped she sighed and shrugged. I didn't think THIS would happen, not till we moved to Rhode Island, and Chiron ended up finding me, and then he introduced me to Echo's mother and- I whipped around. YOU KNEW TOO AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!? Rave- about that time something rammed into the back of the car, I got thrown into the floor mom smacked her head on the wheel and when I looked up Echo had passed out. M-mom? I asked and she looked at me blood coming off her forehead. What was that? About that time something jumped in front of us, there was a two headed dog in front of us. Go, RUN! She grabbed Echo and ran out, and I headed out but stopped. RAVEN?!? I turned and started running back to the car. RAVENNA! I grabbed my bag jerking off the keychain and swinging it out I came running up right as Echo woke up. What is that? Mom snapped. Orthrus, a kind of hell hound, he's like brother or son to Cerberus. Ok thanks for the mythology lesson but we have zero time for that! Mom snapped as we ran Echo grabbed my hand and pulled me to an arch past this huge pine tree that had a dragon? I frowned as I read the arch. Camp half blood? I muttered
