SEVENTEEN 💕
it was so early in the morning that changbin had to get up and get ready for work, and one thing that almost everyone knew about changbin was that he definitely wasn't an early bird. unfortunately, he wasn't planning on getting fired again anytime soon since he had quite a reputation for sleeping in an extra five minutes and letting it turn into two hours. he wore the same clothes he had on his first day, this time with a black cap since he had a customer spill coffee on his work cap by accident on his last shift. usually, it was fairly busy in the mornings since that was when people needed coffee to keep them up for the day, but he didn't seem to be getting many customers that day - he assumed it was because of the street dancers that he passed during his walk to the shop who seemed to have quite a large audience.
changbin was leaning against the counter, his arm resting on the top with his chin in the palm of his hand, a small yawn escaping his lips. just as he almost fell asleep on the spot from the calming and relaxing music, he heard the bell ring - it was chan. he didn't bother to stand properly, raising a brow to indicate he was listening to his friend's order. "one tall vanilla latte." he asked, watching as changbin was quick to prepare his drink, them exchanging coins for a nice drink. chan sat on a table near the counter, taking a sip from his drink, "you look like you could use some coffee yourself, buddy." he mocked, watching bin roll his eyes. just as the shorter male opened his mouth to make a smart remark, probably something along the lines of 'you look like you could use a kick up the ass', someone had walked in on them. it was two males, both with brown hair, hand in hand with shy smiles on their lips. changbin had recognized them as jisung and minho; jiusng was one of his best friends and his band members as well as his karaoke mate. "oh. hey, sung." bin greeted with a calm smile of which chan found astonishing how quickly he switched from looking like strangling the aussie to death to being soft and caring.
"changbin! you do know that i'm gonna ask for discounts whenever i come here, right?" jisung hummed as the taller male stood behind him, cuddling sung in his arms. "hello. my name is lee minho - i'm actually a trainee at jyp for, mainly, dance." he introduced, receiving a small bow from the other two males. soon after, another male strutted in - it was kim woojin, another worker there. "hey, woojin." changbin greeted with a high five.
"so, where are the other two?" asked chan, frowning slightly. jisung shrugged in response before speaking, "they're probably giggling like two little girls. you know how they are." jisung rolled his eyes at one of his friends, jeongin. not too long after, they heard two young boys laughing and hitting each other playfully. "feliiiiiiiiiiiiiix!" jisung squealed, immediately being teared out of minho's arms to hug his best friend. though their friendship had just started not too long ago, they were quite close. "no hug for me?" innie pouted before feeling chan's arm wrap around him. he gave a satisfied smile and giggled.
"sit down, you'll scare the customers away." changbin spoke with a stern voice, his face not as pleasant as the rest. everyone turned to the short male with a dark aura before sitting down straight away; no one liked it when he got mad. once they all settled, everyone ordered their drinks and began chatting away, too busy to care about anyone else outside of their friend circle. minho gained confidence around the five of them easily, already feeling like he fit in with his boyfriend's friends. the shortest leaned against the counter and whipped his phone out when he got a notification from instagram.
[ dabbingking ] hey handsome !
changbin rolled his eyes at the text on the top of his phone.
[ trashbin101 ]
you've never even seen me.
[ dabbingking ]
i know you're handsome thougghhh !
"hello?" the male then raised his head at the female in front of him.
jisoo.
he immediately straightened his posture, handing her an embarrassed smile. "hey, soo. your usual?" he asked, cocking a brow a bit, handing her a side smile. she giggled and nodded, "you know me so well." to this, changbin chuckled softly as she found a table, letting him do his work. "felix." he heard, "stop looking at your phone! you anti-social dork." chan laughed, seeing his cousin pout. "but i just got left on seen." he sighed before switching his phone off and sliding it onto the table, screen facing down. "your prince charming has a life that doesn't include replying to you all the time, lix." jeongin teased, poking his tongue out. the words hit felix and somehow made him feel kind of sad. he was right - for all he knows, this guy might have a girlfriend or might not even be gay. he's not apart of his world at all. maybe he was uncomfortable with how he spoke? is that why he left felix on read?
meanwhile, changbin was sweating like hell. had he heard right?
lix?
