Chapter 9 Rescue [L]

"Let me go!" Evynne yelled as she was dragged onto the main deck of Backbeard's ship.
"Patience Princess, you'll be let go soon enough." Blackbeard chuckled. "Unless of course, you can give me the gold I was promised."
"I can't!" Evynne exclaimed. "You know that I can't! But I can give you what I have."
"That's not quite good enough." Blackbeard shrugged.
"This is what I get for trying to help you?!" Evynne demanded. "I told you the truth so you didn't get cheated when you delivered me to my kingdom only to walk away empty handed! If my father even let you walk away." Evynne scoffed.

"It's all business Princess. Unfortunately for you, You'll be an example of what happens when you cross me." Blackbeard said and Evynne was dragged onto the plank. She looked down wide eyed into the inky black sea. This was it, she was actually going to die.
"You left your kingdom looking for adventure, tell me Princess how is this for adventure?" Blackbeard chuckled. Evynne swallowed thickly as she watched the sharks circling below.
"Ah! Just in time!" Blackbeard beamed as The Jolly hauled up beside his ship. Killian and his crew boarded the ship

"Killian!" Evynne yelled. Killian looked up at Evynne on the plank with her hands bound. His eyes widened, fearing for her life. This was exactly why hesitated to bring her with him all those years.
"Release her!" He seethed.
"Oh, I will. From life." Blackbeard smiled. "Your princess has a lot of learning to do when it comes to bargaining with pirates. She informed me that her father does not have the gold he promised me for her safe return."
Killian sighed he knew Evynne was just trying to save him from being cheated out of his gold, because that's the kind of person she was, but she just didn't realize that her honesty would cost her, her life.
"So you kill her, for sparing you from the noose her father would place around your neck?" Killian asked.

"You'd have done the same if the tables were turned." Blackbeard said. "Consider this, me doing you a favor Hook! It is bad luck to have a woman on board."
"Oh what kind of horse shit is that?!" Evynne spat. Killian sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. If there was any time for her sass, now was not it.
"And you let her kiss you with that mouth?" Blackbeard chuckled and waved at the man holding Evynne on the Plank.

Evynne was inched closer and closer to her certain death.
"Wait! Don't do this!" She pleaded.
"Shut her up, or she'll scare away the sharks." Blackbeard sighed. Something was shoved into Evynnes mouth so she couldn't speak. Her screams of terror were muffled as she was right on the edge of the plank.
"Stop!" Killian shouted and drew his sword. "We duel for her life." He offered.
"You see, we already did this, I won, you lost and here we are." Blackbeard said.
"Are you too much of a coward to fight me again? Because you know I'll win?" Killian smirked.

"Coward?" Blackbeard bellowed and held his hand up to stop the man from pushing Evynne off the plank.
"If its a duel you want, fine. But when I win..perhaps I won't kill her. Maybe I'll keep her. She's actually quite pretty when she can't speak." He smirked.
Killian felt his blood boil.
"And when I win, I'll paint my name on every inch of your ship with your blood."
"Oh, there he is." Blackbeard grinned. "Its nice to see the princess hasn't taken all that darkness out of you."
Killian growled and changed at him with his sword.

Evynne watched the two duel it out yet again She watched as Killian dueled with grace, and it was almost as if he was dancing, the way he so effortlessly moved around the deck, parrying Blackbeard's attacks. Her eyebrow danced up and she felt her lips curve up.
Evynne for the love of it all, you're about half a step away from becoming shark food, now is not the time to fantasize. She thought Perhaps it would have been exciting if her life wasn't literally hanging in the balance.

Blackbeard stumbled backwards and Killian had his sword to Blackbeard's throat.
"Kill him!" Evynne screamed all though it was muffled by the gag in her mouth, Killian could kind of make out what she was saying. Killian looked at Evynne and back at Blackbeard and chuckled.
"She is out for your blood. You've really pissed her off."
Evynne rolled her eyes. Why the hell was he stalling?
"So then do it!" Blackbeard spat.
"But as you've said if I kill you, we don't get to have all this fun." Killian smirked. "Maybe another day Edward." He smirked and hit Blackbeard between the eyes with the handle of his sword, knocking him out.

Killians crew cheered. Evynne sighed in relief but as Killian made his way to the Plank, Evynne was elbowed in the gut and she fell backwards off the plank screaming.

"No!" Killian shouted and ran towards the plank and dove for Evynne. His hook looped through her belt and she was now suspended in mid air. Killian started to slip but felt someone grab his ankles. He looked back at chuckled at Smee holding onto him for dear life.
"Good catch Mr. Smee." He said and with his help, Evynne was pulled back to safety.

Once safely back on The Jolly Roger, Killian pulled the gag from Evynnes mouth and tossed it aside.
"You could have killed him!" She said. "Why didn't you?"
"It's a really long tale, love." Killian said and cut the binds from her hands with his hook. He turned her wrists looking at the rope burn.
"I think Billy has some ointment for that." He said.
"Its fine.. Really." Evynne shrugged. "I'm just happy to be back home." She smiled. But Killian didn't smile. He stood, and walked to his desk looking over his maps.
"What's wrong?" Evynne asked but Killian didn't respond. "Killian.. Are you mad at me?"
"No, I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at myself." He mumbled.

"Why?" Evynne asked.
"For ever allowing this to happen." Killian said.
"What do you mean?" Evynne asked.
"I'm taking you back." Killian said. "To your kingdom."
"What? No!" Evynne said. "I won't go back there."
"Yes. You will!" Killian turned and shouted at her. "You could have been killed!"
"But I wasn't!" Evynne yelled back. "You can't just take me back! They'll kill you!"
"I'm not sticking around. I'm simply dropping you off." Killian said. "You'll tell your father, how I kidnapped you and you escaped, that way you will not be hanged for treason yourself."

"Killian Jones don't you dare!" Evynne spat. "If this was your plan you should have just left me to die back there! I will not go back, I will not marry that prince. I love you!"
"And I love you. Which Is why I have to do this. I'd rather you be alive and well, than kidnapped, tortured, or killed." Killian said.
Evynne scoffed and walked out of the cabin and onto the main deck.
"Where are you going?!" Killian demanded following her.
Evynne climbed up the railing on the side of the ship.
"Evynne get down!" Killian ordered.
"I swear to all the Gods, I will jump off this ship myself before I go back there Killian!" Evynne threatened.
"I'm trying to protect you!" Killian yelled.
"I don't need you to protect me!" Evynne argued and climbed higher.
"Evynne, stop!" Killian shouted.
"Tell me you won't take me back!" Evynne demanded. Killian looked around at the crew watching the two of them. They'd make a bloody mockery of him if he was overthrown by a damn princess.

"Get down Evynne." Killian seethed.
"Tell me you won't take me back." Evynne said and climbed higher.
"You are acting like a spoiled brat!" Killian grumbled. "I'm the Captain. I make the demands on this ship not you! And I am taking you back to your kingdom."
"I'm the captain I make the demands." Evynne mocked a couple of the crew members laughed and Killian glared at them shutting them up.
Killian turned his glare to Evynne and stormed to the railing of the ship.
"What are you do-ING" Evynne squeaked as Killian grabbed her legs throwing her over his shoulder.
"Put me down!" She demanded as he carried her back into the cabin he kicked the door closed slamming it shut and put her down.
"I'm not going back." She said and crossed her arms.
"Oh Bloody hell.. Fine!" Killian said and threw his hand and hook up.
Evynne smirked and sauntered over to him.
"Oh no." Killian shook his head. "You just made a bloody mockery out of me in front of my entire crew!" He hissed.

"Oh they'll forget about it." Evynne rolled her eyes and sighed. "Highly unlikely, my crew forgets that." Killian said. "This is not your kingdom you can't just run around and demand things on my ship! That's not how it works and if you think that you can bat your eyelashes at me and everything is okay, you're wrong. You aren't getting off that easy." "Who said I wanted anything easy?" Evynne grinned and pushed him against the door Of the cabin before attacking his lips with hers.
