A/N: This chapter was done by both Rayna and I and contains mature content! Most of this chapter is a flashback from when Killian and Evynne first met! Enjoy!!!

"Evynne." Killian whispered and nudged the sleeping pirate princess. Evynne lifted her head from her pillow sleepily and blinked at him a few times before yawning.
"What is it?" She asked and collapsed back into the pillow closing her eyes. Killian chuckled and nudged her again.
"Wake up my love. I have something to show you." He said. Evynne pushed herself up from bed and whined.
"Its so early the suns not even up."
Killian smirked and pulled her from the bed. "Here put this on, it's a tad chilly up top." He said and slipped his leather duster over her shoulders. Evynne wiggled her arms until the duster was on and Killian lead her out of the room and up the steps to the main deck.
"Do you know what today is my love?" He asked. Evynne thought for a moment, still trying to wake up fully all the lights in her brain hadn't come on just yet. She shook her head.
"What day is it?" She asked.
"Evynne Alexandria Tate, on this day, many moons ago, I stumbled into a small port side tavern with my crew and left my heart with a stubborn, yet enchanting barmaid, who later turned out to be a stubborn, yet enchanting princess." Killian smiled. Evynne gave him a sleepy grin and pressed the side of her head to his chest.
"You must be referring to someone else. I am enchanting, but stubborn?" She giggled.
"Darling, above all else, you are stubborn." Killian chuckled. "But you were a challenge, and I do so love those."
"I remember now." Evynne smiled. "Like it was yesterday.."

-----------------------------------------------------------

Evynne sat at the bar, in her usual spot with her beer, and her book.
"Another beer princess?" The man at the bar asked.
"Shhh!" Evynne hissed. "Just Evynne, Barrett. The last thing I need is someone telling Garrison that I am in the tavern. He's already so hesitant to let me come to town without his entire guard."
"My apologies Evynne." Barrett winked and refilled her beer. "Whats a girl like you doing in a place like this anyways?"
"A girl like me?" Evynne scoffed. "I happen to like my time away from the palace thank you very much. I wish I could spend more time here. You meet the most interesting people and hear the most fascinating tales." Evynne beamed.

"Want a job?" Barrett chuckled.
"Can I??" Evynne asked.
"It was a joke Evynne. Your father would have my head if he ever found out I put you to work here. You're lucky I let you come in here, he'd have my head if he ever found out that too."
"Where is your sense of adventure Barrett?" Evynne sighed. "Everyones so afraid of what my father would do, they don't give me a chance."
"Perhaps because your father has had men killed for looking at you in a way he does not like."
"He's just..protective. Ever since mother was taken.." Evynne paused and sipped her beer trying to wash away the painful memories.
"Easy lass." Barrett said. "I don't want to be picking you up off the floor." He smirked.
The door to the tavern swung open, and a loud, and rowdy bunch of men flooded in the doors. Evynne turned to look and her eyes brightened with excitement.
"Eyes on your book Evynne. You do not want any of those men paying any sort of attention to you. They're pirates." Barrett said.
Evynne turned to him and grinned before picking up her book, and her beer and standing.
"Evynne!" Barrett hissed as Evynne walked away from the bar to sit at a table closer to the men.

The door swung open again. Evynne looked up in awe at the man entering the tavern now. He wore mostly black leathers, most notably a long black leather duster that swooshed behind him as he strode into the bar, he wore a puffy black shirt with a deep v, revealing dark wiry chest hair, and a scarlet colored waist coat with intricate black patterns sewn in. His dark hair fell over his bright blue eyes that were lined with kohl. Evynne simply could not pull her eyes away from the work of true art in front of her. Her eyes trailed down to the gleaming metal hook he had instead of a left hand and she missed her mouth with her beer. She was in the presence of the infamous Captain Hook. She'd heard tales of the bloodthirsty cut throat pirate, but they didn't frighten her, they excited her.

"There's my scurvy crew!" The pirate Captain shouted gleefully. "Where's my beer?" He asked.
"Here Captain!" a man cheered and handed him a stein. The Captain grinned, showing his dazzling smile and raised the stein.
"Cheers." he said and lifted the stein to his lips and as he did, his eyes found Evynnes, staring eyes. Evynne's breathe hitched in her throat and she quickly looked back down at her book.
Every now and then Evynne found herself looking up at the Captains table, to find him looking back at her, although he seemed happily seated with a bar wench on his knee, he paid her little mind.

"You're distracted Captain." a wench purred in Killian's ear.
"That wouldn't be jealousy now would it dear Lyra?" Killian chuckled. He'd been captivated by the woman and her book since he entered the tavern. She had beautiful honey brown locks that cascaded around her shoulders, and her eyes sparkled like the sun hitting the sea.
"Me, Jealous of that?" Lyra asked nodding towards the woman reading her book a few tables away. "She wouldn't know what to do with a man like you." Lyra smirked. "She comes in here every week, and sits there with her nose in her book."
"Is that so?" Killian smirked. "Well, perhaps a man like me, could teach her." He said and looked at the wench on his knee, amused at the jealous scowl.
"You're getting attached darling." He chuckled. "However, I am not in need of your services."
Lyra gave him a bewildered look and then scoffed before standing up and walking away from the table.
"I thought Lyra was your favorite." Shaw chuckled.
"Lyra who?" Killian smirked and stood up.
"There he goes." Lewis laughed and raised his beer. "To good fortune Captain."
"Fortune has nothing to do with it Mr. Lewis." Killian winked and sauntered over to the table with the woman and her book.

Evynne gasped as the point of a hook hit the fold of her book and lowered it from her face and she was face to face with the crystal blue eyes that had been on her mind all evening.
"I was reading that." She said.
"Really? Because every time I looked up at you, you were looking at me." The pirate gave her a cocky grin.
Evynne swallowed hard.
"I was wondering why you were staring at me, instead of the woman on your lap." She said.
"Oh i'm sure that you were." he chuckled.
Evynne scoffed. He was very beautiful, but he also seemed to think he was Gods greatest gift to women.
"What do you want Hook?" She asked.
"Oh so you've heard of me." He grinned devilishly.
"Know any other pirates who walk around with a hook for a hand?" Evynne asked flatly.
"Fair enough, but I'd prefer it if you called me by my name."
"Captain Hook?" Evynne rolled her eyes.
"Oh. you are a sassy one." He purred, sending shivers up Evynnes spine. "Killian Jones. At your service." He winked.
"Evynne." She introduced. "Not at yours." She smiled.
"We'll see." Killian smirked. It was a dark and dangerous smirk that was somehow exciting to Evynne. "Join me for a drink?" He asked.

"Breaks over Evynne. Back to work." Barrett said as he came to the table. Evynne looked at him confused.
"I need to see you in the back." Barrett said giving her a look.
"Right." Evynne nodded. "Excuse me Captain." Evynne said and got up and followed Barrett to the storage room.
"What the bloody hell do you think you are doing?" Barrett asked.
"I was reading and the Captain came to me." Evynne shrugged.
"Do you know what pirates do with girls like you?"
"Again with the girls like me thing.." Evynne sighed. "He didn't seem like the villainous bastard everyone makes him out to be." She shrugged.
"If he finds out you are a princess, he'll likely kidnap you for ransom."
"Which we know my father would pay." Evynne said.
"He's a pirate Evynne! He'd kidnap you for ransom, take the coin, and you. You can't trust their word."
"So then I won't tell him I'm a princess. I'm only chatting with him Barrett! He sees the world! I want to know what that is like.. Now if you'll excuse me, given that my break is over I should probably get to work and bring the Captain and his crew their rum." Evynne grinned.
"Evynne don't you dare!" Barrett hissed as Evynne winked and walked away from him and went behind the bar and grabbed a bottle of rum and carried it over to the Captains table she set the bottle down on the table and leaned in and grinned.
"Rums on the house tonight boys."
The men at the table cheered and the Captain tugged Evynne down to sit beside him.
"I assure you sweetheart I am anything but a boy." He whispered.
Evynne swallowed thickly feeling her mouth go dry.
"Have a drink with us." Killian grinned and poured her some rum.
Evynne had only ever had beer so she wasn't so sure about this.
"I shouldn't." She shook her head.
"I insist. Have a drink, play some dice." He smirked and pushed the drink to her.
Evynne hesitated but as she looked up at the displeased look on Barretts face she gave him a wink and picked up the small shot of rum and threw it back before slamming the glass down. The rum took her breath away and she gasped feeling a burn settle in her chest. Her lips tingled with the spices.
Killian laughed.
"First rum, darling? I should have warned you it bites back."
Evynne hiccuped and nodded at him. "So dice?" She asked and bit her lip.

After a bit of drinking, and playing dice, and listening to Killian tell stories of the world. Barrett was growing concerned as the princess seemed completely taken by the pirate Captains charms. He walked to the table.
"I don't want any trouble, but I need my barmaid back." He said giving a slightly inebriated Evynne a glare.
"I think she is perfectly happy where she is." Killian shrugged.
"Mm, a bit too happy I think. Back to work Evynne." Barrett said.
"Stay here, and I'll pay you for time." Killian purred in her ear.
"Now that is quite enough!" Barrett growled and pulled Evynne from the table. "She'll not be bought like one of your whores!"

Killian stood and drew his sword pointing it at him.
"Are you threatening me?" He asked dangerously.
Evynne stepped in front of Barrett and put her hand on Killian's sword.
"I really should get back to work. Please put the sword away. Food and drink is on me for your troubles." Evynne said. She would stay there all night with the Captain if she could, but Barrett was a dear friend to her, and she didn't want him to get hurt.
Killian nodded and put his sword away and sat back down.
"My offer still stands." He said.
"I'll have to politely decline." Evynne said giving him a sad smile as she walked away from the table with Barrett. Barret lead her out the back door to the Tavern.
