During the final battle at Robotnik's fortress in Robotropolis, Sonic and his friends were captured. Dr. Robotnik robotized all of Sonic's friends, and made Sonic his personal slave. Sonic spends every day for three years in complete pain and suffer...
Sonic rushed to get Robotnik's breakfast ready. He was two hours late and he knew Robotnik's mercy was running thin. Stupid robots making me drop the frigging' plate! Sonic had been finishing up cooking Robotnik's breakfast when the robots came in suddenly, startling him and making him drop the stupid plate, breaking it and making him have to clean up a huge mess!
"SONIC!" Robotnik bellowed from his room upstairs, "WHERE'S MY BREAKFAST?!"
"COMING!" Sonic called back. Yeah, right. Coming to kick your butt is more like it. Sonic grabbed the plate, the steam burning his hand ever so slightly, and bolted to Robotnik's room. He set the plate on Robotnik's lap. The fat man began eating like a pig and Sonic tried to slip away, only to be spotted.
"Where do you think you're going Rodent?" Snively asked. "You know the punishment for being late. And you forgot my breakfast." Sonic shot Snively a defiant glare.
"I'm sorry. I don't remember Robotnik appointing me as your slave." Sonic grabbed the chair by the door and sat down. Snively was right about one thing, there was a punishment for being late and Sonic knew it all too well. He had to sit and watch Robotnik enjoy his breakfast. Sonic hated watching Robotnik eat. The man had absolutely no manners and just watching the disgusting way Robotnik devoured his Nutella covered pancakes, crisp bacon, and fresh eggs, made Sonic sick to his stomach. When Robotnik was finished, he used the bed sheets to wipe his face.
"Sonic, would you be a dear and do my laundry?" Robotnik asked. Sonic had no chance to reply before a pair of pj's was thrown in his face. Sonic gagged as he pulled the garments off.
"God! Use deoderant!"
Robotnik glared at Sonic.
Oh God. . .he's naked. . .
Sonic quickly said, "I don't mean that you smell bad"-- Of course you smell bad --"I just meant that as a suggestion. You smell wonderful!"
"Shut up Hedgehog."
Sonic took the plate, along with the bed sheets and cleaned up. After he got the laundry started and cleaned the dishes, he started his next task, scrubbing the rooms, floor to ceiling. Sonic did this routine every day. He would make breakfast, do the laundry, and then do the household work. He wandered into the hall where he had once been surrounded by paintings of people he did not know. He now knew who these people in the portraits were. These paintings were of royal rulers, each generation leading o his mother, Queen Aleena. She had been killed in the raid of Knothole before the final battle. Sonic had vowed to avenge her. He looked at her portrait and was in tears.
"I'm sorry Mother!" he cried, "I'm sorry I couldn't avenge you! I'm sorry. . .please forgive me. . .I'm so sorry. . ." He sat here and cried for a few hours, until he couldn't find any tears, and prayed for her forgiveness. Not only had he failed her, he had failed all is friends. He eventually wandered into the room where his friends wee being maintained. He watched as Amy was taken apart, cleaned, and put back together. She was given fresh oil and waxed until she shone like silver. She turned and looked at Sonic.
"What are you doing here?" she droned in her menacing robotic voice, "This place is off limits!" The alarm went off and Sonic bolted out of the room, trying to make it look like the alarm malfunctioned.
At the end of the day, Sonic was locked in his cell again. Sonic sat against the cold wall. He had worked all day and he was hungry as heck. He looked outside the barred window at the landscape. The whole place looked wasted. He buried his head with his arms crossed over is knees. He wanted this to be over. If only he had been prepared for the battalion of robots he faced, he would have won the war, and his friends wouldn't be gone.
I hope you can all forgive me. I failed you all, but I promise, one day I'll set you free.
