Unbroken- A Sonic the Hedgehog Fanfiction

Prologue

It was a dark and sorrowful day when the rebellion against Robotnik fell. Sonic ran into Robotropolis closely followed by his friends. He stopped at a street corner and checked for robots.

"Shoot," he whispered to Sally, "They're all here."

"Strange," Sally replied, "I thought they all would have been guarding the Doomsday machine."

"They must be planning something big if Buttnik's got them stationed here."

"Here's the plan. Sonic, I want you to go straight for Robotnik. The rest of us will stay here and fight the robots."

"No way Sal! You'll be captured!"

"It's okay. Once you defeat Robotnik, we'll be free again. Now go!"

Sonic thought it was a bad idea, but he followed Sally's orders and headed for Robotnik's tower. Sonic stopped when he heard Sally scream.

"Sally!"

The robots had taken her and the rest of the band prisoners. Sonic had known that it would happen, now he had no choice but to defeat Robotnik and end the war once and for all. Sonic took a deep breath and continued to the main room of the castle, the place where he would confront Robotnik for the last time.

"Robotnik! Show your ugly face!" Sonic called out. Robotnik came out of the shadows.

"Hello old friend," Robotnik sneered. "So glad you cold make it. Robots! Attack!" A battalion of robots came from all sides, pinning Sonic down. Some of them had hoses and sprayed water in Sonic's face. Sonic tried to fight, but he wasn't getting any closer to victory and the robots kept coming. He kept getting sprayed with water and they were now strangling him. Sonic kicked and fought, but he couldn't take anymore. His speed wouldn't help him an there were too many robots. The robots swarmed Sonic and overwhelmed him, capturing him in less than a minute.

As the sun set over the mountains, Sonic was forced to kneel before the roboticizer and watch one by one as each of his friends were turned from flesh and blood into heartless killing machines.
