"Ralph, let me go, I'm gonna be late, " I whined, tugging at his arms around me. "Reschedule,  " he suggested, showering my neck with kisses. "I can't do that, I miss her,  " that made him loosen his grip and let me out of the cages of his arms.
I ran my fingers over his face, he closed his eyes and licked my thumb, sucking on it slightly. I straightened and kissed him, my hands in his hair now, "I'll miss you today."
"What are you guys doing today anyway?" He kissed me.
"I don't know baby, girl shopping,  " I faked a groan. He chuckled, he knew how I hated shopping and how my mom loved shopping. I didn't want to tell him that mom had plans to take my wedding dress shopping. I didn't exactly lie, right? I mean I said girl shopping.
Urgh.
He probed his tongue inside my mouth and they danced for a while before I tore away from him completely, I fake glared, "you're going to get me late."
He pats my ass as I scurried to the bathroom.

Finally dressed in my long-sleeved white top and a pair of tight-fitting denim jeans, I put some accessories on my hair and fit in my shoes

Finally dressed in my long-sleeved white top and a pair of tight-fitting denim jeans, I put some accessories on my hair and fit in my shoes. I grabbed my black clutch and walked back into the room. Raff was seated at the end of the bed, his gym bag with him, "going for practice, I'll see you later when you come home." He kissed me hard and we walked together to the garage, getting in different cars. He let me go first before he did.
I drove to the address mom said we'd be having breakfast. I got a few looks when I got out of the car and in the restaurant.
Before I reached for my phone to call her, I spotted her seated right in the middle of the cafe. She looked good, a few years younger even. Dressed in grey pants and a black sleeveless top, she still looked magnificent.
"Hey baby, " she kissed my cheek and hugged me, then came the pout, "I missed you."
I smiled and hugged her again, "I missed you too ma."
We took our seats, talked a bit, mainly her talking telling me how Cali was, her job, Aunt Gianna and Uncle Alessandro, and to what I dreaded most, "Gianna apologizes for not being here for your dress fitting."
I groaned internally, I've been so busy getting my ass pounded we forgot about this. I'll have to talk to Raffael about this.
I shoot him a text, we need to talk later. xoxo❤

Immediately he replied, okay, say hi to auntie for me♥

Mom cleared her throat, "I thought we were having a girls day. No boys."
I rolled my eyes and tucked my phone back in my clutch. A waiter came to take our orders, "I'll have a cup of hot chocolate and chicken pie. Mom?"
She said she'll have the same.
"So with Gianna's help we got a hold of the best wedding planner in England, she is amazing, she has done a couple of weddings for some ministers and alike. You'll love her baby, " she said.
"What? Mom I thought we had talked about this. You trying to do the wedding planning,  " I glared at her.
My heart was beating hard, this isn't how it was supposed to go.
The waiter returned to our table with our orders. Mom had a pout on her face, she looked heartbroken, "honey, I'm just trying to help. You know Austin didn't let me help even with one detail at his wedding. And you're the only other kid I have. I didn't mean to make you mad. I'll back off if that's what you want."
I swallowed that lump in my throat, she was trying to guilt-trip me into letting her do things. "Okay. Mom you know I love you and I want you to take part in my wedding. But Raffy and I haven't even set a date yet. How about this, when we talk about it, I'll have you put this exotic wedding planner on speed dial. Okay?"
She nodded and grinned, "fine. But we're still doing dresses today."
.....
We walked in the second dress shop since we started the search for the perfect dress. the exchanged pleasantries and cheek kisses with one of the workers who said she’d attend to us fully. She was a big football fan and mt dearest fiancée was one of the best players in her books.
She ushered us to the unoccupied sofa and handed us flutes of champagne with some snacks. Thank you very much. I downed my glass and was on my second glass when she came back with a couple of dresses, “it’s a winter wedding, right?” We nodded. She showed us a couple of dresses, princess dresses to be specific that were best suitable for winter weddings.
I took one and headed to the changing room. I stripped off my clothes and slid into the dress. with a deep breath, I turned and faced the mirror, Nope. Too plain.
Are we seriously doing this? We’re not actually getting married.
I know.
I opened the door and headed out to where they were. Mom shook her head immediately, “too plain.” See, told ya.
I tried a couple of other dresses and my mom’s reactions were either, “too plain” or “it just isn’t you” or “something better than this.”
An hour had passed and still no dress, I signed, laying my head back on the sofa.
Mom went to answer a call. So I thought I’d get some sleep before the attendant came back with other dresses.
“You’re going to look great,” a very excited voice pulled me out of my non-existent sleep.
I opened my eyes and looked towards where the voice came from.
Three girls, two blondes, one brunette, around my age were walking around the place, getting a feel of everything. They picked out a few dresses and one blonde went to the changing room to try them out. The other two walked to the sofa, the blonde looked at me, recognition in her eyes. “Emiliana, right?” I nodded. She squealed and sat next to me, “I’m Ally, this is my cousin Bella and in there is my sister is Alyssa.”
“Do I know you?”
“I’m Brent’s fiancée. Brent Williams? He plays with your boyfriend in the same team,” she grinned.
Ooooh.
“Oh,” my mouth curved.
“You don’t know him, do you?”
I shook my head no.
She looked around, “dress shopping huh?”
I nodded, mom came back and said we had to leave.
We walked to the car and she faced me.
"Emiliana, I always know if something is up, so tell me, what's wrong?" She furrowed her brows.
I looked away, she always saw right through me.
"It's embarrassing, " I said.
"You know you can always tell me anything baby, is it about Raffael? The wedding? I'm overwhelming you with all this, aren't I? I'm a sorry baby!" She frowned.
I shook my head no and swallowed hard, "Raff and I aren't engaged. It was all an act so you don't feel sorry for me in the wedding and things went a little too far."
Silence.
"I know."
My neck almost cracked.
"What?"
"I am your mother and I know you would have said something if he and you were dating. I'm just a little sad you thought we would pity you and feel sorry for you because you weren't getting married. And I also know that you have feelings for that boy, " she said, pulled me close and hugged me, "you deserve to be happy baby."
