Well this sucks. Like really sucks.

"We will being this term with organic chemistry", Mr. Law stated as he wrote 'Organic Chemistry' neatly and precisely on the board.

Like double decker, triple swirl with a fucking twat of a cherry on top sucks.

I heard most of the class groan. I looked over to see Ember and Jace sighing dreamily at the teacher.

See what I mean: sucks.

Jace's blue hues were almost captivating, if he was looking my way and not fawning over my teacher. I unconsciously gripped my blue pen as a frown etched itself across my face. It wasn't until Xavier placed a hand on my arm, that I was even aware of what I was doing. He was more tan then I realised.

"You okay?" He whispered to me while removing his hand. I looked over at him and smiled painfully, trying not to stare too long into his dark blue eyes; what a pretty shade. I hummed in response and turned my attention back to the board. I saw him raise an eyebrow from the corner of my eye before returning to his notes. Thank god I don't have pushy friends.

"Tomorrow, we'll be discussing our first assignment of the term. Be prepared", Mr. Law stated as soon as the bell rang. The whole class began to pack up except me, who was still in la la land, memorising each colour that I saw outside in the school gardens. "(Y/N), come on, class has ended", Ember sighed while nudging me. "Huh? What? Oh, yeah, sorry. Let's go", I replied and sloppily grabbed my books and walked out the classroom.

I began to walk towards the cafeteria. "So what do you think is on the menu today guys?" I asked lightly with a smile, but got no reply. "Guys?" I asked once more before turning around to see no one except Juliet and Megan giggling in the corner at my mistake. I rolled my eyes at their bitchy nature before flipping them off and continued to head towards the cafeteria.

My gaze searched the crowd of students before stumbling across a blonde idiot who was boisterously waving at me. I sighed and walked over to Oliver who managed to gain the attention of most students surrounding him. He didn't seem to care though, typical. "How was, whatever you just had", I ask nonchalantly while running a hand through my (H/L) locks. I was trying to look anywhere but his light brown gaze. "PE was fine, thank you. How about you?" He asked and leaned forward on his arms. "Chemistry was fine", I sighed. Suddenly a presence appeared behind me.

"Like hell it was fine. You were totally out of it", Jace stressed as he flopped down next to me. "What are you talking about?" I questioned innocently, while frowning. "You know what we're talking about. We all noticed it. Even the teacher", Xavier declared while taking a seat across from me. "He did?" I asked in disbelief as I stood up to get food. "Yeah, when we were leaving he asked if you were okay", Ember recounted while lining up in the lunch line next to me. "Ooooh, maybe he has a soft spot for you", Jace teased, making my face light up. "I'm sure he was just being a good teacher", I concluded while placing a sandwich on my plate. "Sure sure", I heard Jace snort as I walked away from the line.

"Hey, are you sure you're alright? You look way more tired than usual", Ember questioned worriedly once we were back in our rooms. "I'm fine, just need to get into a routine", I sighed as I changed into a long red hoodie and black shorts. "That makes sense I suppose" Ember murmured as she also got changed into a green top and denim shorts. "Yeah well, I need to go pee", I stated before walking out of the room.

"Do you know where Ember, Peanut and Oliver are?" I asked Jace as I sat down next to him on the couch. "Yeah, their sociology teacher wanted a word with them about a change in the program or some shit like that", He answered while repainting his nails. "That's a pretty shade", I stated while gestures to his nails. "Oh, thank- wait...what? Can you see colour?" He asked astonished. Shit.

"What?! No! I meant a pretty shade of grey. Ya know?" I babbled, laughing awkwardly. "Mmhm. Hun, I have known you for 3 years now and you have never called grey pretty", Jace rebuked and placed a hand on his hip. I sighed in defeat and placed my head in my hands. I suddenly shot my head up and grabbed Jace's hand, dragging him to the school gardens. "Okay, babe. You need to calm down. What's the big deal?" Jace called after me as I pulled him along. "I'll tell you in a minute. Once I know no one can hear us", I replied quietly and finally sat down on one of the chairs in the gardens.

"Okay....so what's up?" Jace finally asked once he sat down. I twiddled with the rings on my fingers and refused to look at him. "(Y/N)?" He mumbled softly and grabbed my hands, "you've found your soulmate haven't you?" I nodded softly as a few tears escaped my eyes. I felt him pull me forward as I clung to him helplessly and poured out all the stress and anxiety that's has built up from the last couple of days.

"Who is it?" He asked and I shook my head, I didn't want him to know. "Is it a friend? Is that what's making you sad?" He asked, again I shook my head. "Is it me?" He joked, causing me to giggle a bit, "You'd be in deep shit if that was the case". "Is it a student?" He asked and I stared into his frosty blue hues. Well shit, here we go. I slowly, hesitantly shook my head. "Oh fuck....it's a teacher, isn't it", Jace finally summed up and I bit my lip, trying to hold back more tears. "Holy hell, it is.....which one?"

I sighed and looked up into the dreary, grey thunder clouds. A colour that I had become so accustomed to looking at, was now blocking out my blue.

"Trafalgar fucking Law".
