Chapter 3

Day 2 on the Titanic Chuuya checks on Akutagawa before going for a walk on the deck for some air, he kneels by the bed as he watches the other start coughing.

“Is there anything I can get you while I'm out?”

“No, Higuchi will be here soon most likely wanting to take care of me again...”

Chuuya gets up as he grabs his hat putting it on.

“Alright, I might be dropping by the bar later, if you need me for anything call me"

Chuuya exists the room and walks along the corridor heading towards the lift.

Up on deck Hikari Ranpo and Aiko sat together, Hikari was doing her painting at the time so wasn't really taking much notice of Ranpo and Aiko.

Ranpo was yet again looking threw Aiko's file, he came across some info on the port mafia mostly there profiles and abilities.

He looks at Chuuya's info before ripping it out along with the rest of the mafia info.

“wait Ranpo what are you doing! That’s important research.... I'm going to get into serious trouble"

“sorry Aiko it's for your own good, if the port mafia learned you had information on them, they would kill you"

Ranpo goes over dumping the ripped pieces of paper into the sea.

“in fact, never talk or speak about this, it’s for your own safety”

“but I could lose my job Ranpo"

“better than being killed Aiko, the port mafia can't be messed with”

“hey Sherlock, are you saying bad things about us"

Chuuya glares at him as he heard him mention the mafia.

“ah Mr fancy hat what brings you here, Dazai mentioned something about you being here last night"

Hikari continues painting leaving them be, Aiko how ever looks at Chuuya not sure what to say or do, as she felt afraid of the ginger. She knew all about his past as double black, and she researched his ability not long ago on how he came to gain his powers.

“sorry girl your not my type , so quit looking at me will you, your giving me the creeps"

“ah I’m sorry  I didn't mean too, I was just not expecting to see the port mafia here is all"

Aiko shivers from fear, as she hides behind Ranpo.

Hikari starts putting her stuff away no longer able to concentrate. Chuuya walks over to her and looks over her shoulder at the painting, causing her to blush.

“ I can't help but ask.... why are you painting a Volcano of all things?”

Chuuya looks at the canvas as she puts her paints  away.

“I like to paint this sort of thing, that’s all”

“I don't normally say this but it’s really good....”

“oh Mr fancy hat is sure being nice to Dazai's little sister"

“shut up it’s nothing like that I just like her painting”

“Ranpo please stop calling me Dazai's little sister, just call me Hikari”

“are you blushing Hikari"

Ranpo teases her, causing her face to redden.

“leave her alone Sherlock, listen here I still haven’t forgotten your little stunt trapping me in that book, your lucky your not on land right now, or you'd be dead now"

Ranpo just chuckles  at him, he puts his hand into his jacket pulling out at book.

“perhaps I should test this new book out on you Mr fancy hat, this one is just as dangerous as the last one”

“oh no you don't, I will not fall for that trick again”

Hikari was confused  by there conversation, she takes the book off Ranpo.

“what's so bad about a book Chuuya? I'm sure its save"

“Idiot what ever you do don't open it, this guy had me trapped in one of these books not that long ago"

“you should listen to Mr fancy hat Hikari"

Hikari how ever already opened the book and gets sucked into it. Ranpo begins to panic.
“Dazai is going to kill me!!!!!!”

Aiko was speechless as this was her first time witnessing this kind of power. Chuuya picks the book up.

“so Sherlock are you going to save her? someone has to go in and get her out...”

Ranpo doesn't respond right away as he was freaking out, and trying to think how he was going to explain to Dazai why his sister is now stuck inside a Jack the ripper novel.

“what ever...... I will go after the silly girl since your a coward”

Chuuya opens the book going after her, before Ranpo could explain the details about the novel.

“That book is very dangerous.... there's a high chance no one will come back alive from it....... Hikari is in big trouble..... that book is about..... Jack the Ripper, no one ever learned of found out his real identity”

Aiko gasps hearing this.

“then you have to find Dazai to cancel out the ability”

“I can't do that Aiko, if Dazai learned his sister is trapped with Mr fancy hat in a novel, I’m sure he'll  kill me..... I will have to go into the book too, Aiko look after this novel till we are all out save"

Ranpo opens the book entering it like the others did. The book falls onto the ground and Aiko picks it up holding it close to her.
