Crimson Hunter-Chapter 8: Carefree Hero

In the city of Vale, a girl with mint colored hair walked down a street after getting directions. As she passed by a large alley a voice spoke up, "I knew you were lost." The voice came from a grey-haired boy leaning against a wall.

The girl, Emerald, walked up to the boy with a wallet in hand, "Mercury, I will literally pay you to shut up."

The boy, Mercury looked at the wallet, "That's not your money."

"But it could be yours for five minutes of silence."

"Hmm, no deal," Mercury answered as Emerald looked at him angrily before walking away, "Whatever, you want me."

The two of them walked through the streets toward their destination, bickering back and fourth between each other. As they reached the store with the words Tukson's book trade written on it. The two noticed another figure waiting for them, someone they had met a few weeks ago.

(3 weeks ago......)

"My name is Madara Uchiha, and I have a proposition for you."

Roman and 3 figures, 2 now identified as Mercury and Emerald stared at the Masked man. The 3rd figure female figure stepped forward and spoke, "My name is Cinder. What kind of deal do you want?"

Madara glanced over the 4 criminals and began, "I am part of an organization known as the Akatsuki. We hail from a rather large island that stays to itself for the most part and has had little contact with the outside world. However, due to certain circumstances, I am now forced to seek help in furthering Akatsuki's goals. My proposal is simple, my group will aid yours and whatever you plan to accomplish, and in turn, all you have to do is help with two things; kill the Akatsuki traitor, Itachi Uchiha, and capture a blond haired boy that is vital to our plans, Naruto Uzumaki."

Hearing the last name, Roman spoke up, "This blond boy, 'Naruto,' he wouldn't happen to have blue eyes and whisker shaped marks?" Madara simply nodded causing Roman to smirk, "Thought so. My most recent attempt at dust thievery was foiled by your blond as well as a couple of other kids. Considering their age, I presume that they are students of Beacon Academy, where they are trained to fight both monsters, as well as people like us."

Madara pondered for a second before speaking, "It matters not, Naruto must be captured at any cost for Akatsuki to achieve it's goal. And before you ask, I will not tell you that goal until I know for certain you will not oppose it. Now then, Akatsuki still has unfinished business back home. However, I will leave one of my members with you, the only one who Itachi has never met in person."

The 4 criminals stepped back as what looked like a vortex came out of Madara's visible eye. Slowly, a second figure emerged from the vortex, a red-haired man wearing the same coat as Madara, "My name is Sasori, I hope we can get along."

(Back to present day)

Sasori waved at the two as they approached. Instead of his usual outfit, he now wore a solid maroon cloak (his Edo Tensei outfit). Mercury waved back, "Hey 'Skorp,' how's is going."
